Over the years I’ve dated men with their Suns in every sign except Capricorn. There were several Cancer Sun fellows, the other sign square to my Libra Sun and Moon, but no Capricorns.
Libra is usually considered compatible with the other air signs, Gemini and Aquarius as well as the fire signs, Libra’s complement Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. Even though I have been married to an Aries Sun-Moon for close to twenty years, I dated relatively few of them. Only one serious relationship each with Leo, Sagittarius and Aquarius and those only lasted six months or less. Geminis usually ended up being a good flirt and an occasional lover.
Considering my Moon is in Libra it is surprising I only dated a couple of Libras very short term because classic synastry states someone who’s Sun conjoins your Moon is excellent. However years and years ago I read somewhere for the Moon in Libra person, it ends up being just too much Libra. So true. When it comes to my Libra Sun friends it works out fine – just not so well for lovers.
So who did I date the most? Those signs compatible with my Scorpio rising: Taurus, Virgo and Pisces. Scorpio men turned out to far better as friends than lovers, probably because there was too much competition for the available energy.
In case you’re wondering about the lack of Capricorn lovers, it has nothing to do with not finding Capricorn men attractive, I do – but it was seldom reciprocated often due to a lack of common interests. Now that my Sun has progressed into Capricorn, I have much more in common with them but I’m also not dating anymore. :::grin:::
I suppose the point I’m making is the importance of knowing your rising sign as well as your Sun sign when it comes to choosing friends and lovers. Love feedback on this subject!

My relationship is with a Virgo Sun, Scorpio Moon and Capricorn rising man. I have an Aries Sun, Leo Moon and Virgo rising.
My Moon falls in his 7th house.
His Venus conjuncts my Ascendant.
His Sun falls in my 1st house.
Capricorn is the sign on my 5th house.
Leo is the sign on his 8th house.
Hi Michelle! Welcome! Love your blog and the posts you’ve been doing on signs through the houses. FYI, I have Taurus on both the cusp of the 6th & 7th houses. AstroFix
Love to see Venus & the Sun on the ASC & in the first house in synastry. Those people often make us happy just walking into the room. Moon sq Moon can make sharing living quarters challenging and a good reason for maintaining separate residences.
Aries Sun people do love a challenge though . . .

I like Libras as friends
Hi Liz! Welcome!
Scorpio-Scorpio couples are surprisingly common in my experience and if they work, they will stick together through thick & thin.

Hee-hee. This entry is so very appropriate and fresh for February’s love scene.
I could write an article about this, but here goes:
Went on 2 dates with a Gemini who couldn’t decide between my company and that of a colleague (who I hadn’t known he’d been dating at the time). I didn’t want to be one of his romantic twins, so I let him go.
An Aries followed, one who drenched me in saliva and practically swallowed me whole (ew) each time we kissed. Needless to say, we never made it to second base.
Up next was a Libra who declared he loved me. Unfortunately, my Leo moon wasn’t quite digging the idea of sharing that supposed love with an almost-wife he failed to mention in one of our many conversations. A decent kisser, he was, although a great kissing ability was the only thing he had going for him. Don’t miss him.
Don’t ask how my Libra-Leo-Sagi and hubby’s Virgo-Scorpio-Virgo got together. We’re opposites who wound up attracting one another. I’m grateful for his undying loyalty… and other talented areas. He loves my hotheadedness… and other talented areas. Our relationship built up slowly. We love each other. It all just… works out.
