After the three weeks when both Mercury and Mars were retrograde and life was like driving in compound low, just having the red planet retrograde has not been too bad. That is unless you are a very Aries type like my husband and then it drives you nuts!
He does not believe in astrology so there is no point in mentioning these events to him but it also makes him a pretty good example of how transits work. With his Sun, Moon, Mercury and Jupiter in Aries, Mars transits affect him in a direct manner. Ordinarily when Mars is in Leo, he’s a busy, busy man. Even when it squares his natal Mars in Scorpio, all that happens is he is more abrupt and shorter tempered.
This past winter all the carpentry-remodel jobs he has had have taken much longer than his original projections. There were problems getting materials, clients making last minute changes in what they wanted and every one of them deciding while he was there to add an extra little project or two. I keep reminding him it all pays the same since he always works by the hour instead of bidding on jobs but it still drives him nuts.
I just have to note he spent the last couple of days under the Moon in Scorpio working on finding a water leak in some antiquated plumbing under a house. The house was built before adequate crawlspace was a legal requirement and that means practically no room to maneuver. In order to get to the leak, he will need to take a concrete saw and cut an opening in the foundation. What a mess . . . the people will have no hot water until this is fixed.
So when will Mars go direct? On March 10 but plan on momentum returning slowly as it gets back up to speed. We’re counting the days, are you?

Augh! I am so sorry about your pipe. I hope that everything is fixed as quickly as possible. Also wish you much patience…
.
Thankfully it is not our plumbing or house this time around. It’s something he ran into on a bath remodel he was doing.
The guy who owns the house is not going let a little thing like no hot water interfere with driving 100 mi to spend Super Bowl weekend with friends though. Just let the young woman dog sitting his four hounds deal with it . . . an attitude both of us find pretty much incomprehensible.

Diane, this is a nice reminder that although Mars in Leo is dramatic, it’s good to notice a subtle, gradual, direct feeling even starting now.
March 10th is when my Very Leo Leo leaves me alone down here (I’m staying on for another 3 weeks after that)…he’s going back home to go back to work…I think he’s going to be raring to re-start his motor, for sure.
I’m looking to have it go forward again in my 8th House…activate my grand fire trine and ramp my batteries, good! (I have a feeling life is going to get very busy, with A LOT of hard work ahead for the next 2 years or so…I really appreciate Leo these days!
Hey Chrispito! Good to see you!!
By March 10 the days will be lengthening rapidly here in the North and your Leo will find it much easier to keep his energy & spirits up. Gloomy winters are very hard on Leos in particular.
I have a feeling life is going to get very busy, with A LOT of hard work ahead for the next 2 years or so
The period of time when Mars is in Leo, Virgo & Libra this year will be very important as it heads across the top of your chart. The times it conjoins Saturn will be especially good for seeing if you are on the right path. One thing astrology is good for . . .

I just realized Neptune enters my 3rd House *the same day.*
