That is a wonderful picture choice!

Long time no see. I am catching up on blog-hopping :)...

Manners do matter. You don't have to be hoity-toity to exhibit basic manners. You just have to be concerned with others and not just yourself in a planet of over 8 billion folks.

I saw a family today-- mommA, poppA, "Jane" and "John"-- walking along a sidewalk. Jane decided to climb a mound of snow, and I thought that was kinda cool. She looked really tall.

Then momma and poppa were becoming impatient, so they called out to the kids, instructing them to get a move on. So they did. Except that, as Jane dove from the snow mound, she crashed into a thin male that was approaching a corner, almost toppling him to the ground. As if that wasn't bad enough, her little brother, John, crashed into the same guy's back.

Neither the kids nor the parents apologized for hurting this guy, who could very well have been suffering from a painful disability (who knows, right?). The point was that there was no consideration whatsoever for anyone outside of the Jones clan, and it pissed me off.

As I walked by the family, I said, in my New York accent, "why dontcha teach your kids some manners!"

Excuse my language, but, that was complete bullsh*t. So, yes, I fully support the rediscovery of manners for the sake of all.
