Observations: Jupiter-Uranus in Aries Colliding with Saturn-Pluto

On June 10, 2010 in Washington State where I live, a much tougher law regarding cell phone use when driving goes into effect and I see it as an excellent example of the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Aries smacking into Pluto in Capricorn. This law allows anyone using a cell phone while driving to be ticketed to the tune of $124 and the cops have already given notice they will NOT be handing out warnings either.

The group most likely to ignore the hazards of texting or talking on a cell phone while driving are young and male – and a pretty good fit for Jupiter conjoined Uranus in the masculine, fire sign of Aries. They tend to be convinced they are both immortal and consider themselves capable of driving with all kinds of distractions. Me, I’m over sixty, female and KNOW it is a very bad idea to do anything but pay strict attention to my driving. Heh, I have to be on high alert watching out for all those young, distracted drivers . . . :)

Pluto in Capricorn is not the least bit shy about harshly enforcing what he sees as ‘The Law’ and Saturn is going to back him up on this, especially once Saturn returns to Libra in July. As I’ve said before, it is very important to keep in mind cardinal signs take action.

I also feel Jupiter-Uranus in Aries is all about extreme action and has a driving need to throw off anything that vaguely resembles rules and regulations – independence carried to the point of “cutting off your nose to spite your face”. Saturn and Pluto both represent parental authority figures quite capable of putting their collective feet down those impulses. There will likely be some all out bloody battles but my money is on Pluto and Saturn in the long haul.

At any rate, I’m going to be watching what happens. What do you see as an example of Jupiter-Uranus in Aries colliding with Saturn and Pluto?

  • I see LOTS of endings over the next six weeks in particular! relationships, work connections etc etc, There is a big whoosh of asteroids gathering at the Cancer critical point now, then a whole stack building up at the final degrees of Gemini and Pisces, just ripe for the ‘righteous’ Full Moon. It’s going to be interesting and surprising for a lot of people.

Agree with the cellphone crackdown. Unfortunately, however, it’s not just the young’uns causing trouble on the roads. Entitlement seems to come in all ages, these days, in fact.

My in-laws’ van was hit in the back by a man about seven to ten years their senior. My brother-in-law, who is disabled/MR and in a wheelchair was also in the van. It’s a special-needs tailored van. Luckily, everyone was OK and the damage was minor.

Not only was the doof-driver not paying attention to which pedal he was hitting, he refused to take responsibility for his several-hundred-dollar mistake!

When the policemen came by to take a report, they kindly advised my mother-in-law to calm down. She did. That worked in her favor in the end, because the old guy who hit her made a complete @ss of himself. Seriously, he may as well have said that he made the error in a public announcement!

I see crackdowns on “entitled” folks.

:::sigh::: can’t help but agree. I remember the time I was making a left turn & got clipped by a fool speeding up instead of stopping. He cussed me up one side and down the other while I stood there with my mouth open in total astonishment. He got a ticket & I didn’t. [this was in 1985] For some the reflex action to feeling guilty is to blame the other person.

  • It enrages me to see ppl on the phone while driving. But I’m surprised that this new law is considered a tougher, since over here 120 euros is the minimum you pay if you get caught (goes up to 600 euros) and if you’re a new driver or you have previous convictions you can lose your license from one month to one year.
And there was me thinking our laws were light. ;)

Anyway, that wasn’t really an answer to your question, was it? *ducks*

They don’t fool around where you live, do they? When I lived in Finland years and years ago, the penalty for driving while intoxicated was loosing your driver’s license for ever.

      LOL! Not a problem . . . :)

      • Oh yeah, I’m positive there are much tougher laws than the one we have here, that’s why I was surprised. But we do have a lot of road accidents so it’s a must.

  • What I am seeing is the “tea baggers” taking over D.C.. It is a difficult call which side of this conundrum they are on, but my bet is they are on the side of Jupiter-Uranus in Aries. They may take over the house however once they are in control they have to start showing results. It is going to be one bloody mess as alot of them seem to feel they are above and, beyond the law.

It would appear so now but my feeling is we have a loooooong, hot summer to get through first. I’ll take a “wait & see” position on this one. These people may turn out to be another VERY vocal minority in the long run.
