When the Moon entered Libra stepping on one end of the cardinal T-square, it brought my computer problems to a head. A couple of weeks ago around the time Mars entered Libra, conjoined Saturn and opposed Jupiter-Uranus in Aries, we had an electrical storm with lightening strikes causing power outages. My computer crashed at that time and hasn’t been the same since.
Ever since then, I’ve been babying it along hoping for the best. Just in case, I did break down and buy a nice 500GB external hard drive for backing up my files. It came late Thursday (about the time the Moon conjoined Saturn) and I immediately backed up my files using the hard drive’s software. Then I got this brilliant notion to use Vista’s backup and restore feature (about the time the Moon squared Pluto . . .)
Set that into motion and went to bed thinking I would find it completed on arising. HOWEVER, when I awoke in the night (right around the time the Moon was conjoining Venus in Libra), I found one of the dreaded black screens. Nothing I did made it better, totally freaking me out. After taking an extra dose of my homeopathic anxiety remedy, it was back to bed to see if I could sleep. Arrrgggh!
The next morning I again attempted to revive my computer with no success. In the end, I called the local computer store to get their thoughts on what my options were . . . something I had been considering ever since my computer started acting fragile. We decided on replacing the hard drive and installing Windows 7 as my operating system, resulting in essentially a new computer for about half the cost. Truthfully, I never did like Vista and Windows 7 is the real deal.
Thankfully the Moon conjoined Mars in Libra that morning, boosting my energy levels for the day because I had to take my computer into town, then drive back in later to pick it up! Once home, it was necessary to get the system set up and running once more. Much to my delight and relief, I found the first backup intact on the external hard drive with all my photos and documents!! Between installing various programs, transferring files, connecting to my home wireless network and doing the tweaks that make a computer feel like “home”, I was quite busy.
Thankfully, this was the last Libra Moon of the cardinal T-square since Uranus is now back in Pisces for the next seven months. I am very, very happy with the outcome but it was stressful getting there . . . a very common story for many these days!

Phew that was scary!
My poor computer is also under a bit of strain, having so much filed into it and, must admit, barely anything backed up. Had some scares recently but managed to overcome them. Not safe to trust so much of our lives in these electric thingies, huh?
Hey DM!
Very scary! There were moments when I thought I had lost all my files . . .
I was very pleasantly surprised at how much less good external hard drives cost now and how simple they are to use. Very worthwhile investment IMO. You are very correct in saying we trust so much of our lives to these “electric thingies”!!
Wow. I feel so antiquated – I am still running on XP. But yes to what you said about external back up and I am glad you got your machine fixed without losing all your files.
Personally, I’ve found all the bumps from the T-square to be very uncomfortable, but the only time I’ve had a problem was when the moon in Libra activated the square. The result was a tree splitting and the splitoff bit tried to take out the house. There was only minimal damage but yow! Scary!

['That T-square is one potent puppy.']
Max!!! Great to “see” you!!
When I bought this computer in Jan 09 it came with Vista, and getting XP installed would have cost substantially more. Yeah . . . what a deal.
But the feedback from those who have used all three (XP, Vista & 7) have told me the same thing, Win 7 is what Vista was supposed to be and never was.

Yikes!! That’s an attention getter for sure! Glad you came thru relatively unscathed.

oh NO. I read your earlier post first–sorry about your troubles! I have had the same ibook for over 4 years and a couple of weeks ago, it just died. *poof*
I took it in, paid them $$$ to have them tell me nothing was wrong (sometimes I HATE my Uranus/Mercury). A couple of days after that the cord CAUGHT ON FIRE, while I was using it, seriously WTF…
anyway. I bought a new cord and my computer is acting like nothing happened. The bastard. LOL
Hey Chrispito!
Don’t you just HATE it when the solution turns out to be so simple . . .
Good thing there was nothing wrong with your laptop! Macs are noted for their reliability.

What a BEEAAUUUUTIFUL sunset! Sunsets are my favorite.
Um, somehow I can understand the stress, even though we’re experiencing it in very different ways. It’s frustrating and annoying, isn’t it?
I could offer condolences, but instead I’ll say… let’s kick its ass!
XOXO,
Deb

YES!!!!
Once I decided on my course of action, it has been all moving forward. Of course, there is catch up to do but I’m getting there. I have a post in mind on Saturn in Libra & Guilt but first need to finish a consult.
Want to make another batch of dill pickle chips too. I don’t eat many pickles but enjoy making them. go figure . . .
Pretty piccie! Yuk, sounds like a nightmare but done now. Hopefully onwards and upwards from now on in xo I am dreading this retro. After about 6-8 weeks of no shooting, hubster has two weddings in a row, right in the middle of it. Oh joy as everything is digital and so computer heavy! OH well, muttering about it aint going to stop anything going wrong
Hi Karen!!
After about 6-8 weeks of no shooting, hubster has two weddings in a row, right in the middle of it.
Heh, my Aries husband is very likely going to be working on an extremely complicated remodel during this time. The job he is finishing up this week has been one minor obstacle after another.
Two weddings to shoot will keep you both very busy!
I’d rather stick my head in the sand where Mercury Rx is concerned . . .
[yup! a complete whimp!]

“Thankfully the Moon conjoined Mars in Libra that morning, boosting my energy levels for the day”
You don’t find that Moon/Mars boosts your anger levels as well? Yeah, all the Libra in the sky is interesting, to say the least. It packs a wallop, for me, anyway (what with the stellium in Cancer and all). I just got my new computer.
