Sagittarius Season is Here

Today the Sun conjuncts Mars in Sagittarius and amps up the Sagittarius urge to MOVE! The problem is Saturn is standing still in Virgo, telling us we’re not going anywhere. For me, said Saturn is in my tenth house and reminding me to take care of business while the Sun-Mars conjunction is in my first pleading with me to go walk the dog. Bleh

And then Uranus down in my fourth house has kept things stirred up around the house and my house plants are definitely showing signs of neglect. In fact I’m going to have to decide which ones are headed for the compost and which ones are worth salvaging. There are other major reorganization efforts around the house in my future because I need to create a good home office space. But for now all of that is on hold [yeah, Saturn stationing] for the holidays because there are xmas cards to send out, a tree to find and decorate, holiday gifts to make, etc.

I am enjoying have a dog to talk to and go on walks with and now that Jas is settling in and learning our rules, we are all happier. However, it has not been an easy transition and she managed to “houdini” herself out of a harness and completely loose it along with the attached lead she was tied up with. We also had many discussions about whom the alpha was . . . ME!

The atmosphere is charged these days with all the fire energy and the Saturn-Uranus opposition being triggered on a regular basis. I highly recommend avoiding rash behaviors and frequently counting to ten before expressing one’s self especially if you have planets and Angles around 18 to 22 degrees in the mutable signs because accidents happen when Uranus is on the field. I’ve been dropping things, bumping into furniture and generally being a klutz under this influence and have the bruises to prove it.

I also want to wish all my Sagittarius friends out there a big Happy Birth Day and wonderful Solar Return for the upcoming year! Mars in Sagittarius will be traveling with the Sun in all those charts giving you lots of oomph to do what you need to do. Just remember to take your time and keep your cool . . .

Anyone else having “interesting” times these days?

Jas is checking out “sniffs”. We are still a snow free zone and that doesn’t hurt my feelings at all! :-)

A frisky girl eh? wonderful! The mars energy rolled through here a few minutes ago in the form or a mid sized (5 and a half earthquake) close to the surface it lasted quite a long time. And first thoughts, hmm mars and uranus.Life just kinda makes my eyelashes flutter these days. Sometimes with a head wag. Thank god for knitting is all i have to say and my Ulli Maki.I’m rarely around the blogs lately, it has been a treat to catch us and find you have a new friend and the “knitting circle” is still so warm and inviting. You are a wonder Neith.warm thoughts

Thanks for the well-wishes Neith. Think of me this next week as I’m having the exams I’ve been studying for in the last couple of months. The way the sky is like at the moment, I’m crossing my fingers and toes and I’ll keep in mind to always rethink my answers…just in case.

{{{{tseka!!}}}}Good to “see” you again! Earthquakes are one of the reasons I left SoCal, shudder.A frisky girl eh? wonderful!LOL! Very much so. She’s about 6 yrs and full of energy. When I first brought her home, she was “ball crazy” and all she focused on was playing fetch. We took all her toys away and refused to acknowledge her or told her “no” whenever she attempted to get that game going. She also spent quite a bit of time tied up unless she was on the leash and then released at my discretion.I’m sure we’ll have some backsliding but now she’s quite enjoyable and a happy dog. Dogs in particular like knowing who’s in charge and get anxious when that’s not clear. hmmmmmm, some people are like that too. :-)

{{{{{Devil Mood}}}}}Thanks for the well-wishes Neith. Think of me this next week as I’m having the exams I’ve been studying for in the last couple of months. The way the sky is like at the moment, I’m crossing my fingers and toes and I’ll keep in mind to always rethink my answers…just in case.Lots and lots of well wishing coming your way!! You know, I believe it will prove helpful to have Saturn slowing you down right now because with the Sun-Mars strongly affecting your natal Sun-Jupiter, a little ballast is no bad thing. Keep you grounded!BTW, your Solar Return has Jupiter on the MC and Taurus rising, both good for career moves in the coming year. the Sabian symbol for 6 Taurus supports this with keywords of OVERCOMING OBSTACLES. You also benefit from that kickass Sun-Mars conjunction & the Mercury-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn on the cusp of the 9th. Stand back World! Here comes Devil Mood!! :-D

Just a drive-by astronomy lesson for y’all. :o)Best Moon, Venus and Jupiter conjunction photo yet!

  • Janelle

I don’t feel like my regular Sag self this season. Jupiter in Sag was glorious last year, but everything is so serious and heavy this time around. I don’t know what to do with myself…I need to get a job I enjoy… is there anything in the stars that could give me a boost. Saturn and Uranus on my moon and squaring most of my sadge is killing me slowly. Help :(

Dogs in particular like knowing who’s in charge and get anxious when that’s not clear. That’s what I found. My dogs were sweet and calm – except on Grandma visits, when they became instant brats. Spoiling is not a good thing! Your dog looks like a sweetie!Meanwhile, this Full Moon is freaking me out, and I almost never get freaked out by upcoming astrological things. Maybe it’s the steady diet of Uranus opposite my Sun (18 Vir), square my Saturn (19 Sag), and square my pMoon (20 Gem). Not to mention Sun/Mars in Sag already beginning to add to the energy there. My nervous system is pretty wired. Oh, and I should be at peak PMS by Friday. Great!!I have a potential new relationship (woo hoo!), but I’m feeling suddenly unnerved by it (we’ve had only 2 dates, but this one feels different). Also this weekend I had a flat tire and someone stole the cash out of my wallet, making me feel like the rug’s getting pulled out from under. Do you think maybe I should just make myself unavailable to date this weekend and reschedule for next week???!

  • Joe

Hey Neith, guess whose turn it was to have a flooded basement? Thank every deity I found the leak before it turned into a major disaster. I could have been at work all day before I found the burst pipe!

Hey Janelle,You have a great Sabian Symbol for your Solar Return of 28 Leo – many little birds on a limb of a big tree! Ruhdyar says this: We should try not to be OVERWHELMED WITH POTENTIALITIES, yet should enjoy the wonderful lightness of feeling this may bring after perhaps many days, months or years of frustration or darkness. In fact this year looks good if you have creative projects or want to do more innovative types of things in your workplace.I do believe Jupiter’s move into Aquarius in January will be a pleasant change for everyone but until Saturn gets done stationing and starts moving, even in reverse, we’re all going to be feeling a bit bogged down. Jupiter moving into your 2nd house will help too.

Hey les!It so doesn’t surprise me you a)have dogs being Virgo and b) they are well behaved with your Mercury conjunct Pluto. :-)Do you think maybe I should just make myself unavailable to date this weekend and reschedule for next week???!Well, by Saturday both the Sun & Mars will be done squaring your Sun, releasing the extra pressure of the Saturn-Uranus opposition so you may start to feel somewhat less stressed. The lead up to the Full Moon hits your chart the hardest. Who knows, other circumstances may intervene too! Both the Sun and Mars will favorably aspect your Nodal axis this weekend. Sure it's brief but always interesting to take note of.I am not enjoying this time as much as I usually do and am looking forward to the shift to Capricorn maybe mellowing life up some . . . :-)

Hey Neith, guess whose turn it was to have a flooded basement? Thank every deity I found the leak before it turned into a major disaster. I could have been at work all day before I found the burst pipe!OMG, Joe! Good save! I shudder to think of the work it would have been to clean up and dry out your basement this time of year. When it’s warm outside, you can open it up but now . . . whole different story. Was it freezing that caused the pipe to break?

The lead up to the Full Moon hits your chart the hardest. Who knows, other circumstances may intervene too!Ach! (re the lead-up) and he has a prior commitment for Saturday, although not sure by evening. May get put off until at least Sunday evening anyway. So that might help! (plus he has Chiron 21 Sag)Both the Sun and Mars will favorably aspect your Nodal axis this weekend. Also they’re trining my Ascendant and Moon, which isn’t so bad.I am not enjoying this time as much as I usually do and am looking forward to the shift to Capricorn maybe mellowing life up some . . . :-)You and me both. :-)

It so doesn’t surprise me you a)have dogs being Virgo and b) they are well behaved with your Mercury conjunct Pluto. :-)Alas, they are long gone, and I miss having dogs around very much. I was lucky my last housemate (a veterinarian – I’m not stupid!) had a dog that I could play auntie to. Can’t have one now, but some day again…

Well, I’ve been writing a tremendous lot although I’m also exhausted. I have several projects going on and I’m making a lot of disciplined headway. Other than that, everything’s been quiet in my life. I hope something comes of these projects, man.

Interesting times? SNOW!!! On the east side of town. They’re having to tell people how to drive cuz nobody here knows how to drive in icy conditions!SNOW! The mind boggles…hee…the newscaster to our county judge from Emergency Management (who had a real trial-by-fire, errr, -water with Ike): “Are we telling people to hunker down, Judge?” heee…that’s all his re-election ads said. A bunch of Houstonians saying “Hunker down, Ed.” It’s now the city’s motto. We’re hunkerin’ down in the snow.

Can’t have one now, but some day again…I have gone long periods of time without pets and have found I do much better with them in my life. Hopefully you will be in a place soon where you can have a dog sharing your life again.

Hey Eme Kah,Well, I’ve been writing a tremendous lot although I’m also exhausted. I have several projects going on and I’m making a lot of disciplined headway. Other than that, everything’s been quiet in my life. I hope something comes of these projects, man.Good Luck and good use of the dynamic buzz in the air too. I was looking at tomorrow’s aspect list and thinking how much I want this behind me. With a fixed sign emphasis in my chart this mutable “zippiness” gets to me after awhile. At least the Sun-Mars are moving into my second and out of my first for the year. :-)

  • neith

Hey Casey!OMG!! you have SNOW and we don’t!! What kind of a winter is this when south Texas has snow before central Washington! However, that is going to change this weekend ’cause we have a cold front moving in bringing both snow and very, very cold temps [single digits at night] by early next week. Have to move a potted azalea onto the enclosed porch and bring some other potted plants into the house. Picked up a xmas tree yesterday to decorate this weekend. It’s a noble fir and smells heavenly. :-)

  • casey

Are you getting that Siberian express we’ve been hearing about?BTW, the snow is now gone cuz it’s in the 50s. Tomorrow the 70s. Ah, Texas. How’s your carpal tunnel, chickadee? You know the knitting is not good for the carpal tunnel.Isn’t it terrible when you can’t do something you love because of physical limitations?

  • casey

Oh, yeah. There were 500 wrecks before 7 a.m. today. (evil smiley emoticon)

  • neith

How’s your carpal tunnel, chickadee? You know the knitting is not good for the carpal tunnel.Oh yeah, nasty repetitive motion that it is! However, since i carry my yarn in my left hand, i can still knit quite well as long as i wear the brace thingy on my right wrist. :-)Isn’t it terrible when you can’t do something you love because of physical limitations? This is exactly what had me freaking out when my wrist first blew out. So much of what I do is with my hands. Not surprising for someone with Mars on the ASC. for now, as long as i use the wrist brace and continue to do various exercises to help keep the whole shoulder/arm loose, I'll keep knitting & typing. Stubborn, yup!

  • Devil Mood

Wow, Neith! I like that :DThanks for that, I always value your insights and keep them in mind.Yes, I think that Saturn has been keeping me very realistic. I’m actually surprised at how this square is working out. I was expecting some chaos but I feel pretty stable. What do you know, eh? ;)

  • les

Well, I had a pretty nice, if at times a bit awkward, date on Saturday afternoon/evening – with Mars transiting right on my Saturn square my Sun, and Chiron transiting right on my Descendant and within a degree of its final Chiron Return hit. Phew! But the aftermath… primal fear today big time. Major doubt-feeding, which I think is overblown and may or may not have anything to do with reality. Which is I suppose a switch from my old “living on possibility rather than reality.” Sigh. Feels better tonight. Maybe it’s the Full Moon and transits passing?

  • neith

Which is I suppose a switch from my old “living on possibility rather than reality.” Sigh. Feels better tonight. Maybe it’s the Full Moon and transits passing?Today’s Mars-Saturn square will complete the Full Moon affect for now. The Moon is in Leo and will be in your first house tomorrow and I’m betting that usually lifts your mood too.”Living on possibility rather than reality” has Neptune all over it from my POV! Boy you sure are right about that being a tough transition. Much harder than many realize. You have enough earth in your chart to pull it off. :-)

  • les

“Living on possibility rather than reality” has Neptune all over it from my POV! Boy you sure are right about that being a tough transition. Much harder than many realize. You have enough earth in your chart to pull it off. :-)Yeah, I may be able to break the Neptune spell, but having Venus conjoined Pluto (with Mercury along for the mental ride) I’m pretty sure obsessing will never be vanquished! Channel it, channel it… :-)Good luck with the wrist – and the knitting. Still need to start my next project.
