What a Mercury Retch this has been. It started with Mercury in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces and it felt like we have been dealing with heaps of confusion and chaos ever since. Sure didn’t help to have Mars in Cancer picking fights with Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn and lastly Saturn in Libra. My Libra self is exhausted from all the discord, both in the collective and my immediate environment.
The best thing about the chart for Mercury’s station direct is a sweet Grand Trine between the Virgo Sun conjunct Venus in Virgo, Jupiter in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. This pattern will remain in force until the New Moon in Virgo on 28 August before gradually slipping apart. It’s pretty darn hard to stay hyped up and angry with all this placid earth energy soothing the atmosphere. We need this badly to help heal the damage done to sensitive psyches recently.
Speaking of healing, Chiron in Pisces makes a Kite out of the Grand Trine in earth and by opposing the Virgo Sun makes it the focal point. Virgo takes its responsibility as a healer very seriously and Chiron represents the wounds that never heal. In Pisces the sense of being wounded is projected into the collective. Will we start to see healing of old wounds now? One can hope.
Another big plus is Mars pulling away from the square to Saturn in Libra. There may be lingering traces of resentment left over from the discord of this square aided and abetted by Mars in Cancer conjoining the Moon in Cancer when the square was exact. Time to take a deep breath, let it out slowly and allow peace to begin to enter once more.
My fluffy chickens have started laying small pullet eggs, a wonderful analogy for making a fresh start. They are laying a couple of eggs a day so far and soon we will have plenty to share with family and friends. Love my girls, they always make me smile.

Whew – hallelujah! I didn’t notice the full impact of Mercury Rx until it ended today. I feel amazing, I’m finally getting stuff done when I haven’t felt motivated to do anything in weeks! Thank goodness that is over.
And congrats on your eggs! We started raising chickens 4 years ago in our backyard here in SW Wa. I remember the excitement of getting our first egg! Now we’re up to 12 chickens (too many for us) and we’re inundated with eggs. It’s great to be able to share with others though. They are so appreciated!
Hi QueenofCups!
I feel amazing, I’m finally getting stuff done when I haven’t felt motivated to do anything in weeks! Thank goodness that is over.
Amen to that!
My Aries built a great coop & run for our girls. They have a lovely crop of clover in their run – good for healthy birds & keeping things clean. We have people just waiting for their eggs too . . .

Hallelujah exactly! It went Rx on my natal Mercury and just went direct on my Moon. The upcoming New Moon is also nicely just past my Venus/Pluto in my 1st house. And my recent Venus Return looks real good. Looking forward to some better energy!
Hey Les!

LOL! Mercury Rx are often particularly tough for Virgo & Gemini folks but this one with all the Neptune weirdness thrown in was especially trying. Venus traveling with the Sun in Virgo will be sweet for you.

Oh god, this has been the worst for boiling over. So tired of it. I’m downing flower essences (Impatiens and Dandelion) as often as I think of it.

Good idea! Mars in Cancer has another punch in store for you the 2nd & 3rd weeks in September when it opposes your Moon & squares your Mars-Uranus conj in Libra. Please do your best not to bite anyone . . .

Thanks for the heads-up. Maybe I ought to stock up on the essences for perfectionism, because that has been bugging me, too. That’s one thing I have going for me: if I can see in myself a negative habit, trait or action, I usually am willing to *try* to do something about it.
Yahoooo!
Ok, I’ve already started my fall semester of school which is somewhat unfortunate since I barely got to rest this summer. But still, everything else is great, and we’re planning a couple of short fall trips, and those eggs look yummy. My great-aunt lived on a farm in Texas years ago, and we’d pick fresh eggs some mornings. I remember she had chickens and bunnies and… that’s about it, I think. I miss those times!
XOXO,
Deb
Deb!!! You’re back! I was concerned knowing Irene was bearing down on your area!

We lived on the farm all the cousins used to come visit. We had chickens, ducks, geese, cats & dogs, milk cows and occasionally a horse or two. No bunnies or sheep.
Good place to grow up.
