The young couple whose wedding I attended yesterday have plenty of Neptune aspects in their natal charts and were married when the Sun in Leo was opposing Jupiter along with Neptune and Chiron.
Of course I checked their synastry and found some very interesting parallels between their charts. They both have Moon-Neptune aspects – her Moon conjoins Neptune and his is sextile to it. In his chart, Mercury and Mars are both conjoined Neptune while in hers, Mercury is sextile Neptune and Mars is semi-sextile. They both are dedicated to their religious beliefs and neither of them has socialized with people outside of the church family. Obviously they both are true believers when it comes to ‘Romantic Love’, and I’m pretty sure both are virgins. He is thirty and she is twenty-two. When I look into their eyes, I see little evidence of rational thought – very scary.
Another interesting note in their synastry is the role Pluto plays. Her Sun conjoins his Ascendant-Pluto in Libra, his Venus in Scorpio conjoins her Mercury-Pluto, her Venus in Scorpio conjoins his Uranus and he has his Sun in Scorpio. They may be just a teeny, tiny bit obsessed with one another . . . right!
Both Suns are sextile both Moons (Scorpio to Capricorn & Libra to Leo). I have seen few lasting relationships able to survive inharmonious aspects between the luminaries but it has happened. Her Moon in Capricorn is inconjunct his Leo Moon but as they are both extroverts, this may not be problematical. We’ll see how this goes over time.
If I had a birth time for her, it would help. I’m guessing Sagittarius rising given her love of adventure. She jumped at the opportunity to go up to Alaska on her dad’s fishing boat and work around the clock for a month straight. She’s been going up every summer since she was fifteen. Not to mention she wanted a garden wedding and got married in a lovely full length wedding dress with bare feet!
The last I heard neither of them had full time work, barely found an apartment before the wedding and are depending on a combination of luck, family and prayer. ::::shudder:::: However, his Sun is going to progress into Capricorn and a tight conjunction with Pluto (lasting into the middle of October) during their honeymoon. Having just gone through that myself, I venture to say the wakeup call will be loud and long.
Will this couple stay together? I believe so. The strong parallels between their charts are quite obvious to me after spending time with them. Their connection to their church is very deep and both families will be a continuing source of support, both morale and financial. I will be following their story closely and watching it unfold.

Head over and read my thoughts on the New Moon in Leo too. I didn’t mention it in that post, but the Moon’s Nodes will be in Capricorn by the Full Moon on September 4 – an indicator of a subtle shift to taking the practical, business-like approach being promoted by Pluto in Capricorn.
Image: See those bare toes peeking out from under her dress? She painted her toenails red and called it good . . . ![]()

Bare feet could very well be a Pisces thing too, neith. you know us pisces hate to have the feet confined. And I would jump on a chance for adventure in Alaska especially since it's cool there.
and that also would strengthen the Neptunian connection.hee…i love Neptune. it's always cracking Lee up cuz I have four or five pics of it on my screensaver.
Hey Casey!! Good to 'see' you!! How are you doing in hot ole Texas? The only problem I have with Pisces rising for her is her voice. It's loud! She's not real long on tact and is very self confident. Maybe Aries rising???? Well, if I get the chance to discretely find out I will. hee…i love Neptune. it's always cracking Lee up cuz I have four or five pics of it on my screensaver.LOL! I have WebShots and almost all my favs are nature scenes with waterfalls or lakes. Very soothing for my Libra Moon conjunct Neptune eyes . . .
I too am loud. I blame Eve. She is very loud. But you are right…most pisces I know are soft-spoken. It's not quite as hot here as it was in June/July. We're still having 99 degree days punctuated by some small amounts of rain which cool it off (but make it steamier). Changes are going on around me — especially to Jeannie the Gemini. After her ankle operation, she has been at home for almost a month. Then yesterday, her little granddaughter came upstairs to visit and said "Grandma's buying a house. If she can get it." She's been living in the house for almost 20 years so that's quite a change. I am also wondering where Grandma's getting the money since she has a heap of medical bills. hmmm…she's executor of Ronnie's estate in which there is no money. Anyway, that's the first I've heard about this. So I may be getting the whole house to myself.Which will be tough for paying off the credit cards which I've dedicated this year to. And I didn't sleep well when there was nobody else in the house. May have to get my own dog. And an alarm system. However, having space will be good. I currently have 750 sq. ft. I'm not sure how I feel about this.ch-ch-ch-changes!I am still holding on by my fingernails at work. It is hard being marginalized and ignored.well that's the update for me.I too have many pics of nature scenes on my random screensaver. But I also have a fair amount of space porn cuz, you know, I am all about space.
Well, they're both perfectly adorable. Hello, Neptune! And doesn't she look Libra? Many happy wedding wishes to them from this Libra.
Wow What a slam. My parents were perfectly miserable together but loved each other to the end. Rational is relative, love is forever
This was fun–I know a couple just like this, planning to marry next year, barely one job between them–I don't know their astrological particulars, but this is certainly making me wonder! Thanks, Neith!jd
Very cute! The young lady could very well be a Sagi Riser
. I am, and I never wear shoes inside the house (slippers, only, if it's really, really cold). Love the barefoot feeling! Congratulations to the couple and best wishes (and I LOVE the photo)!
Who the fuck goes on a honeymoon when they don't have full-time jobs or an apartment yet? Okay, that's out of my system.I'm really cynical about weddings. I'm all about the institution of marriage, but actual weddings make me want to puke up pieces of my own liver. In general they turn women into monsters and they turn men ambivalent and resentful. Wonderful start to the rest of your lives together!!!!!! I really hope those aspects are enough to sustain an entire marriage, and not just a beautiful wedding.
Hey Casey,And I didn't sleep well when there was nobody else in the house. May have to get my own dog. And an alarm system.I read somewhere thieves will think twice before entering a house w/a dog. Besides dogs are good company. I sure miss mine. May get another one sometime.ch-ch-ch-changes!Nothing quite like Uranus transits to give one whip-lash!!
I am still holding on by my fingernails at work. It is hard being marginalized and ignored.Just keep reminding yourself, it's a paycheck . . . being employed right now is a biggie in and of itself. Saturn moving into Libra will bring a period of serious reevaluation about your job too. All the Pisces "suffer or serve" issues will come out of the box too. ::::ducks:::::
Hi Jessica!Well, they're both perfectly adorable. Hello, Neptune! And doesn't she look Libra? She totally looks Libra but her personality is much more direct, blunt and forceful. I like her! Not easily intimidated is always good. They are adorable. My nephew had me wrapped around his little finger from the getgo. They make me want to pull my hair out and laugh all at the same time.
Hi JD! Thank you for stopping by! Always love comments from my respected peers! This was fun–I know a couple just like this, planning to marry next year, barely one job between them–I don't know their astrological particulars, but this is certainly making me wonder! My nephew is part of the Neptune in Sag generation. If Neptune is a major player in their charts, they are seriously into some type of religious belief system. His buddies are all like him . . . it's quite something to see.
Hey Deb!The young lady could very well be a Sagi Riser
. I am, and I never wear shoes inside the house (slippers, only, if it's really, really cold).heh, I have Venus in Sagi in the first and only wore shoes when forced to as a child.
Having Moon conjunct Neptune myself, I am well acquainted with the pitfalls of un-manifested potential and living on expectations. I work very, very hard at staying grounded and practical so as to avoid collecting more bumps and bruises. Didn't get that many good pics from this because the overcast was so dense the light was on the low side for my camera. Amazing gardens too.
Based on the reference to her dad's boat and her adventurous side, I kinda have some faith in that they'll rise to the income-earning occasion if they need to. Maybe that's my optimism talking, but….LOL @ Lucy! We, too, are against extravagant weddings. I hate that it is expected of couples to have "one special day" to remember. NOT us. We married in jeans
. And we prefer to think that most of our days together our special (or at least really funny). To be fair, I'm not sure of how extravagant this one was, though. The dress looks very simple and clean, not like it was designed by Vera Wang, and the shoeless look is awesome. As for the honeymoon, like the wedding, I'm not sure of who's funding it, where they're headed or when they plan to go. We're headed to ours in a month after marrying in November, 2008, thanks to a bunch of gifts
.
Oh, MY GOD. Neith, YOU can have small weddings take place in or near your garden! I've seen those pictures. All you'd have to do is offer the space and everyone else does the work
.
Who the fuck goes on a honeymoon when they don't have full-time jobs or an apartment yet? When someone else foots the bill?! I've been having long conversations with my nephew on and off the past year about different strategies for how to make enough money to live on. But he is a great example of mars-mercury conjunct Neptune in Sagittarius. Brilliant, extremely talented both musically & artistically but has the attention span of a gnat. Oh, did i mention over the top optimistic? LOLI'm really cynical about weddings. I'm all about the institution of marriage, but actual weddings make me want to puke up pieces of my own liver. In general they turn women into monsters and they turn men ambivalent and resentful. Wonderful start to the rest of your lives together!!!!!!Me too. When i got married it was very simple, cost us $400 and included a statement i wrote about how much more important the marriage was than the wedding. We never did get around to taking time for a honeymoon either. We have a composite 1st house Sun, Venus & ASC in Capricorn making this a very pragmatic, practical relationship.
Based on the reference to her dad's boat and her adventurous side, I kinda have some faith in that they'll rise to the income-earning occasion if they need to. Maybe that's my optimism talking, but….I actually have a great deal more faith in her ability to hold down a full time job. There was talk of her going to work as a teacher's assistant which would be a very good fit for her. We're headed to ours in a month after marrying in November, 2008, thanks to a bunch of gifts
.Wonderful!! Hope you get to go somewhere lovely and relaxing.
BTW, they are going to spend a week at a time share in Cabo San Lucas – only cost $100. The biggest expense will be getting there (and the couple of days at Disneyland . . . but I'm not going to go there!)
"When I look into their eyes, I see little evidence of rational thought – very scary"this is the funniest thing I've read all day. maybe it wasn't meant to be funny but i laughed anyway!:)
Hey Chrispito!!this is the funniest thing I've read all day. maybe it wasn't meant to be funny but i laughed anyway!:)Yeah, I meant that to be funny! She is the third of eight children, 100% Norwegian, and Lutheran to the core. Very, very nice people just different. It's like there is a collective agreement to only look at the bright side . . . always.
I don't know- if I were getting married and somebody was giving me money, I personally would rather invest it in a home or some other way to get started while we looked for jobs. Then once we were comfortable, we could take a honeymoon. And Christ, I'm a 10th-House Pisces Sun saying that. how much more important the marriage was than the weddingTHIS. When I was doing a lot of Mary Kay (God, that makes it sound like a drug), I did enough bridal showers and wedding expos to see what happens when women get too caught up in their weddings and forget why exactly they're getting married. I want to have a really simple (elegant, but very, VERY simple) wedding too. The way I see it, if I can actually meet a man who truly appreciates me for who I am, who simultaneously desires and respects me, who isn't put off by my having strong opinions or threatened by my being an outspoken feminist, and who sees something in me that makes him want to spend the rest of his life with me, then I think I want to celebrate that a little more than wearing a princess dress. (p.s. if you won't go there, I will. Weddings and honeymoons at Disneyland are freaking WEIRD. I don't care how Lutheran you are.)
Oh, my gosh! My Catholic older brother and his nightmare of a wife went to Disneyland on their honeymoon, too. They travel there every chance they get. But just in case that reality isn't horrific enough, here's another for y'all: Um, several years ago, my husband attended a summer wedding in Disneyland. In August, no less. His friend gave up a trip to Germany to attend the wedding as well. The only description they offer on behalf of that experience is a sarcastic "it was magical".
I went to a wedding yesterday, and they remind me of this couple. Relying on luck to get by in life!
I'm going to a wedding on Saturday and the people getting married are loaded. Of course, the Taurus in me is drooling even thinking about the food, LOL

Then once we were comfortable, we could take a honeymoon. And Christ, I'm a 10th-House Pisces Sun saying that.LMAO!! Lucy, your acerbic sense of humor totally cracks me up! BTW, we did use any and all $$ gifts towards a down payment on property.
The reactions to honeymoons & weddings in Disneyland is hysterical! I love being surrounded by people with an appreciation of where to draw the line between kitsch and just plain tacky.
Hi Laura,I went to a wedding yesterday, and they remind me of this couple. Relying on luck to get by in life!I wonder is this has to do with an unacknowledged Neptune in Sag influence. There are plenty of people out there who are dealing with Neptune in Sag in positive ways [like DM . . . Hi!]When Pluto was in Sagittarius, relying on luck worked a whole lot better than with Pluto in Cappy too.
I'm going to a wedding on Saturday and the people getting married are loaded. Of course, the Taurus in me is drooling even thinking about the food, LOLNow we're talking the IMPORTANT stuff!! They served grilled King & Sockeye salmon, caught in Alaska a couple of weeks ago. It was deeeelicious! Went back for seconds . . .
Have a great time eating your way from one end of the buffet to the other, Chrispito!
I love being surrounded by people with an appreciation of where to draw the line between kitsch and just plain tacky.Or just plain WEIRD. Getting married by Elvis in Las Vegas is kitsch. Going to Niagara Falls on a honeymoon is kitsch. To spend your first significant time together as two married adults at DISNEYLAND? I can only understand that as 1) you have not let go of your childhood in a healthy way, or 2) you're Furries.
Or just plain WEIRD.Well, that too . . .
But my friends have always been on the unconventional side, always. I vote for option #1. The groom spent his bachelor party playing video games with his buddies. Now THAT I consider weird.
Oh, damn. We should've been married by an Elvis impersonator. Just not in Las Vegas, where it's hot as sweaty derriere.I love Elvis!
Oh, damn. We should've been married by an Elvis impersonator.LOL! Saw a movie about Elvis's life on TV, and was impressed once more by how talented he really was. His gifts got lost in the hype surrounding him. He had an elevated Neptune trine his Sun, Venus, Mercury in Cap. Plus Pluto opp Venus-Mercury. Here's a link to his chart on Astrodienst: Elvis's chart
