Potpourri Day

While the cardinal t-square doesn’t make any direct hits to my chart, I’m noticing a big surge of energy in general. I’m just hoping this will continue because most of this year has been spent wandering around in a fog, finding the roadblocks by stubbing my toes on them. Nothing like a good dose of pure cardinal energy to clear the sinuses and make it feel like you can BREATHE again!

For those of you who like my synastry posts, I have a new one up on Real Astrologers featuring Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. They play a vampire and his telepathic lover on the HBO series, True Blood, based on Charlaine Harris’s Southern Vampire books. She is very good at using disparate elements in her plots to create interest, and for someone who looks like a nice southern lady; she sure has a dark streak in her!

I couldn’t resist taking a quick peek at her chart using a noon birth time. Would you believe she has all but one of her planets in either fire or air? Uranus in Cancer is the sole representative of earth and water. Her Sun is in Sagittarius and her Moon is part of a stellium in Libra including Venus, Mars, Saturn and Neptune. Her Mercury in Sagittarius is trine Pluto, sextile Neptune and square Mars – all good for writing mysteries with an edge. Also gives insight into her ability to create strong female characters whose feminine appearance is merely a smoke screen allowing them to work within the society they live in. Did I say how much I love her writing, good Libra “iron fist in the velvet glove” that I am?!?!

When I was cruising AstroDispatch the other day, I came across a really fine article on what it means to have Venus aspecting Neptune natally. Here’s the link: More on Venus-Neptune and Relationships Annie of Annie’s Blog on Café Astrology does a brilliant job of explaining how these two supposedly gentle planets really work. I have Venus sextile Neptune natally and winced in recognition when reading this post.

How is the cardinal t-square this week impacting you? Creating more chaos? Or blowing open doors . . . yeeee haw!!

Image: This is a fountain on the grounds from last week’s wedding. Even though there is absolutely no way I could put on in, I still love it!

Neith, before I forget, was it you that posted a link for an application with the current Moon aspects?I've been looking everywhere for it but I haven't been able to find it yet. How typical is it that when you want something you can't find it? Hmm.Ah a cardinal t-square, I'm familiar with that. I've been feeling a little strange, a little dark, having unpleasant dreams. The t-square is closer to my Neptune, maybe there's a connection with the dreams.

I thought it was just that Saturn had finally moved off my Sun that was responsible for the increased energy! Mars is now sextiling my Mercury, Venus/Pluto conjunction and Pluto trining it, so I'm good with all that! My bf has Merc at 0 Aries, so he'll be getting the rougher edge of this. My pMoon will move into early Cancer in October (and his pSun in January) so I may get a bit of the Pluto and Saturn edges later on in the year. But for now, I'm enjoying those ankle weights coming off!

Hey DM – nooo, it wasn't me but I do recall seeing something like that somewhere. If you do find it again, let me know. How's that a lot of help? :-)Check your progressed Mercury . . . looks to be catching this t-square exactly.

Hi leslee!I thought it was just that Saturn had finally moved off my Sun that was responsible for the increased energy! That sure doesn't hurt either! Saturn transits, especially to the Sun, can feel like you very burdened.

Bah! I can't get into this show– no HBO. But I've heard such good things about it.As for the "iron fist in a velvet glove", high-five!

  • neith

Hi Deb!!The first season True Blood is out on DVD . . . I plan on watching it that way. Hey, we can't even get cable TV where I live and there is no way either of us would spring for Direct TV or a satellite dish, just have an antenna.

  • neith

As for the "iron fist in a velvet glove", high-five!People tend to underestimate Libras and are shocked, just shocked, when we take a stand!Another sign widely underestimated time after time is Pisces. Huh – most of the Pisces folks I run are sharks, not angelfish!! :-D

Hey DM – I came across this site on moon cycles & aspects. Haven't had a chance to see exactly what can be done with links or gadgets yet. It's called the Lunarium. Nice!

  • Deb

Hooray. I'm gonna rent it :). I didn't even know Season One was on DVD.Agreed 100% on the undestimated Libras thing. We're smart folks. We just don't let everyone know it ;). Works to our favor when needed…

On the cardinal t-square – I bought a car and am hopefully going places!

Hi HH72!On the cardinal t-square – I bought a car and am hopefully going places!Wow! Hope you were able to find one you really like that gets good mileage, is reliable and all that good stuff.I have been pleasantly surprised by the much ballyhooed cardinal t-square this week. Wonder if there are other early Aries people out there who benefited from this event. My Aries sure did. He's on a little job today – the first since his accident almost 2 months ago. [Aries acts as the focus for the t-square - like an arrow from a bow]

I dunno if the T-square is behind this but a lot of clients who receive mental health services at my agency are overdosing on their medication. One succeeded in killing herself last week, in fact. A lot of upheaval going on everywhere, including family deaths and disruption, or long-festering wounds coming to the surface.

Another sign widely underestimated time after time is Pisces. Huh – most of the Pisces folks I run are sharks, not angelfish!!Uh, YES. Hello, me???? This cardinal T-square has really actually been crazy this week. At the end of last week I totally thought it was going to translate as something other than what it did. The result was pretty nutso. But I can't even think about it now because tomorrow is my first day of school!!!! I'm so excited. But I'm also really nervous. I have to pick my outfit and pack my books and everything tonight because my first class starts at 7:10 a.m. tomorrow morning, and I'll be in classes straight through until 5 p.m. Oh my God, I feel like a kindergartner.

hee. I'm such a True Blood freak. Is it the cardinal t-square that's causing me to freak out (especially about work)? I have lost that 18-month grounded feeling that I had when Saturn first moved into Virgo. I had a complete melt-down at work talking to my old boss the other day. Lupita (two cubicles over) told me that she could hear everything and kept saying to herself, "sshh, Karin, shhh Karin." (but did she stroll over and say it? non?)So obviously this is now known all over the east side of my floor. But I am just paralized by fear of losing my job. Plus Jeannie (the downstairs Gemini) is buying a house, I think. She seems to be furtively packing up. But hasn't said a word. Eve is continuing to berate me for being a (very) passive Pisces. But I can't seem to move past obliqueness. And I'm just sticking my fingers in my ears and singing (at the top of my lungs) LA! LA! LA! I'm not going to do it, Eve! I HATE CONFRONTATIONS!ch-ch-changes!

  • casey

    And HEY! I'm not a shark! I'm a hedgehog.

Sounds very exciting and scary all at the same time. Very, very long day though. Good Luck!{and you are one of my Pisces sharks . . . but what can I expect with a Scorp rising???? :::grin::::}

hee. I'm such a True Blood freak.LOL! Hey, you can probably understand the dialogue better than I with your ears already tuned into southern drawls. I usually miss lots of words in BBC productions too but it doesn't stop me from watching & enjoying them.Is it the cardinal t-square that's causing me to freak out (especially about work)? I'm more inclined to attribute some of this to the affect Mars was having before he left Gemini. Same goes for the problems Joe was describing with clients getting confused about medications. However! Mercury did conjunct the cusp of your sixth house when the t-square happened, so perhaps it did!Eve is continuing to berate me for being a (very) passive Pisces. But I can't seem to move past obliqueness.LOL! I prefer to avoid confrontations if at all possible too. They seldom work out well for me. Sooner or later your housemate will have to 'fess up to moving. Will you look for someone to replace her? This winter Mars will be making an extended stay in Leo, turning Rx at 19 Leo in mid-December. I will officially go on record stating I DO NOT enjoy Mars retrograde periods 'cause they make me grumpy for what seems like months on end. LOLAnd HEY! I'm not a shark! I'm a hedgehog.Curl up in a ball with your spines out and hope the bad stuff goes away without tasting you?!?! :-D

  • hitchhiker72

Thanks, Neith. It's a used car but drives like new, and I got it for a bargain. I wanted to get it before Mercury retrograde truly kicked in! I shall think twice before moaning about t-squares in future…Isn't it interesting the cardinal t-square/cross was so underrated while the CFD was totally overrated??Lucy – good luck with skool!

  • neith

Isn't it interesting the cardinal t-square/cross was so underrated while the CFD was totally overrated??Yeah, I noticed that too. The cardinal t-square energy was clear and brisk – cut right thru the tangled garbage of the CFD. Jupiter was feeding hot air to Neptune, blowing that whole event completely out of proportion IMO. Hey finding a good, reliable car is a seriously good thing!

  • Devil Mood

Oh my God, really? My progressed Mercury. Thanks for letting me know, it would've passed right by me, at least consciously. hahaOh thanks for the link! They have a bunch of gadgets, will check them because it's a very useful tool.

  • neith

Hey DM!Oh my God, really? My progressed Mercury. Thanks for letting me know, it would've passed right by me, at least consciously. hahaThat's why it's so helpful to have astrologer friends to run things by. I ALWAYS miss important aspects and transits . . . :-)glad you found the lunarium site helpful.
