On Tuesday, July 3, Mars will finally leave Virgo for Libra after spending the last six and a half months there. I don’t know about you but I’m up for the change even knowing how irritating it will be when Mars conjoins my Moon in Libra. LOL
The shift from subtle, detail oriented, earthy Virgo to social, mental Libra will bring on a very different approach to the way we take action. Mars in Virgo has been very helpful for getting tasks done on time and efficiently, and whilst Mars in Libra has plenty of zip it tends to want to expend that in discussions rather that actual labor.
Mars in Libra is also far more argumentative and when the red planet runs into Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn in mid-July the proverbial sh*t will hit the fan. Adding fuel to the fire will be an expansive trine between Jupiter in Gemini and Mars in Libra. Words, words and more words! That same day, July 17, Mars will square Pluto in Capricorn before opposing Uranus in Aries the following day. Jupiter suggests philosophical differences may be at the core of the ensuing disagreements. May I suggest going into to this time zone with firmly established “agree to disagree” rules with various folks? Oh by the way, the New Moon in Cancer lands on July 18 AND Mercury in Leo is retrograde. Whoops!
If you have your Mars in one of the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), Mars in Libra will be taking a poke at it over the next couple of months before it moves into Scorpio on August 23. Mars to Mars transits can rev up our energy levels and this is particularly true in the cardinal signs. Those of us with our Sun, Moon, Mercury and Venus in Libra may not be so keen on keeping the peace when Mars crosses those planets. We might surprise our nearest and dearest with our feistiness!
After thinking about the ramifications of Mars being in Libra instead of patient Virgo, I do believe I have a greater appreciation for that helpful Mars. It has been very good at keeping me on task transiting my tenth house. Virgos though are likely more than ready for Mars to quit nagging them and start doing something about increasing their cash flow!

I, for one, will be relieved. Mars in Virgo has been a nitpicking energy for me. I’m pretty organised generally, so I found Mars in Virgo seeming to have missed the forest for the trees… Mars also hovered over my Virgo midheaven a lot — it kicked up a lot of form-filling is all I can say!

Excellent point about Mars in Virgo missing the forest for the trees! Stressed Virgo types can react to feeling stressed by losing themselves in the details to the exclusion of the big picture. Yuck on the form-filling . . . LOL
The best thing about Mars moving along at a normal rate is it seldom spends more than a couple of days at one degree. Like Aries, it kicks up a fuss, then moves on to the next thing. Those sensitive to Mars transit may notice the effects about 10 degrees before the exact transit for squares & oppositions.

Im with you Debs, at July 30 mars is on my moon, saturn within 2 degrees of asc, sun merc and karma all hittin my midheaven whilst ive been enduring venus and her dallying through the 8th house of my venus ruled chart, the hidden enemies have been more noticeable than they thought they were and the back stabbing talks behind my back have not gone unnoticed although i let them think that, with my natal merc opposed by pluto and squared by uranus, just watch this cancerian with more libta than she knows what to do with, politely use their own words to reveal, squash and suddenly so, their wicked ways lol! hmmm and they wont be able to know what hit them as it will be done ever so nicely
ah yes my neptune in scorp 1st house is showing itself alittle from behind its cape of invisibility, no judgemt or punishment, extremely diplomacy that will have them fall into their own trap. ahhh justice

What you have failed to mention is the effect that moving into Libra will have on dear Aries friends. Not that they really need any reving up on their engines. Debate isn’t something they are particularly fond of. They prefer to get down to doing, and not discussing. Libra tells them we need to rehash things that were thought dealt with. It will drive them crazy. My Aries is in the midst of helping prepare for a hospital inspection. So with Mars moving into Libra no matter what the results of the inspection are, it will require going back to all the department heads and finetuning whatever progress has been made. He will find himself having to bite his tongue.

Seeing your reply brought to mind that on the 23rd of July 10:45 am Miami:I am seeing another doctor to talk about repairing some of the collateral damage done two years back because of necessary surgery. The unfortunate reality is that curing one problem results in others to be dealt with. Looking at the chart for that day, I see that mercury is conjunct my uranus and the sun makes a wide semisextile to pluto and my natal sun. Jupiter and Venus square my natal sun tell me to keep my expectations in check. Although the moon conjunct my natal mercury says that I will at least get some sympathy.

Looks like you’ve called this one about right. Do your best to stay as calm as possible though it will probably be hard with the various Mercury aspects & that Jupiter-Sun square. Good time to put all your stress reduction techniques to work!

I’m a Sun in Virgo, with a boatload of planets ((Mercury Uranus and Pluto, no less) and asteroids in Virgo all crowding inside my 4th and 5th houses. I am glad to see the backside of Mars while he goes literally out the door of my home and enters Libra. My son is a Sun in Libra, so I sense Mars’s lessons for me aren’t over but at least I’ll get a break every now and again.

Yes, the pressure will lift for most Virgos (expect if you have many planets in Libra) and you’ll be able to get a break.

I am another Virgo, and since my natal Mars is in Virgo conj. my sun this transit hasn’t been all that bad. For the present it will continure for awhile in my 5th house. What I am not looking forward too is when it moves into my sixth house as there is a good posibility of some unforseen surgery with that transit.

Mars in Libra entering your 3rd House is usually good for Mercury ruled Virgos. Excellent for catching up with friends and neighbors.
If your boyfriend’s Libra Sun is in the last decant, then the upcoming Mars-Saturn conj at 15 degrees on Aug 15 might produce some frustration. OR if his Sun is from 8-9 degrees, then it’s the Uranus-Pluto sq I mentioned above! **ducks**

I am thinking things aren’t going to be pretty as this Mercury falls on his Uranus in the 10th. Like yourself he is a Scorpio rising.
I was just checking the chart for the 14th. On that day he has Uranus conj Sun: 5th opposing mars conj Saturn: 11th and pluto 3rd opposing Uranus: 9th. It would probably a good day to call in sick.
