Very little! Saturn walks all over the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars. Jupiter does push back some as do Uranus, Neptune and Pluto but Saturn has enough gravitas to limit those biggies to some extent or at least help us deal with them.
One thing I do know is Saturn is the planet for helping us do what needs to be done. For some time now, Neptune in Pisces has been squaring my natal Venus in Sagittarius and when the lovely Leo Sun came along and kissed my Venus, all I wanted to do was snooze. But since Saturn in Libra is currently marching towards my Sun once more, I ended up doing my chores and generally taking care of business. Saturn gets us out the door to work and makes sure we dutifully call our parents, etc.
I have also noticed Saturn is very helpful when dealing with the wild gyrations of Uranus. Somehow it can offset Uranus’s demand to throw off all restraints to a degree. Saturn in Libra did force Uranus in Aries to occasionally listen when it opposed it recently and some folks made necessary, practical compromises.
When Saturn conjoined my natal Neptune awhile back it wasn’t so bad after all because Saturn excels at structure and, heaven only knows, Neptune is badly in need of some structure!
Saturn can help us process the challenges of Pluto by guiding us step by step through the tangle of our dark side. I have these two conjunct natally with both sextile my Moon-Neptune conjunction, so I have had years of practice sorting through my emotional garbage and making some sense of it. *grin*
The longer I live the greater my appreciation for Saturn’s many virtues. He has saved my bacon more times than I can count and taught me a deep appreciation for delayed gratification . . . something sadly lacking in today’s extremely fast paced world.
