Our first full week with Saturn in Scorpio is softened by a Grand Trine with Neptune in Pisces and Ceres in Cancer. Eventually Saturn in Scorpio will demonstrate some tough love but not just yet. Neptune and Ceres are working together to keep him in a benevolent mood. In my opinion, this Grand Trine will promote taking a more compassionate stance and perhaps open hearts and minds a crack.
There is a flurry of activity the first of week as Mercury and Venus, newly arrived in Scorpio and Virgo, mix it up with Uranus in Aries with support from Pluto in Capricorn. For the most part this shouldn’t escalate past noisy rhetoric and some whining but people’s feelings can be hurt in the short term. In the long term issues brought to the surface may provide opportunities for true healing . . . Mercury in Scorpio is trine to Chiron in Pisces.
The Uranus-Pluto square is still the source of the contentiousness and it is those with personal planets and/or Ascendant at 6° to 7° catching the flack. It will take some time but those two planets are starting to separate for the season . . . a very good thing. We can all use a time out.
Jupiter in Gemini trine the Libra Sun brings some flair and excitement on Monday. All of us with plenty of air in our charts will be happily chatting away, telling stories and sharing some laughs.
There are no major aspects the latter part of the week and with a really lovely New Moon in Libra on 15 October to look forward to, it might be a good time to take care of old business. We finally have a New Moon we can use to launch new ventures and tackle new projects!
You might have energy to burn this week, Aries, and if you run around annoying everyone instead of using it wisely, don’t look to anyone but yourself if you get bit. The worst of the itchiness will wear off as the week goes on.
Taurus, if someone sweet talks this week, you might be in the mood to listen. In general you are in a place right now where those who approach in a low key manner with a detailed, well thought out plan will be heard.
It would be a very good idea to take the time to discuss your schedule with your family members before implementing it, Gemini. Whether or not you accept a last minute invite to get together with friends is up to you. Use tact . . .
Hopefully the drama is beginning to subside in your world, Cancer, though there may be a brief flare up at the beginning of the week. Otherwise I advise listening closely to your intuition because chances are it will be on the money.
Your creativity gets a big boost this week, Leo, and there may be some interesting possibilities emerging with your love life if you’re single and looking. You might also begin to get hints you need to attend to family matters too. *sigh*
Your ability to come up with a sound argument and be convincing is very good this week, Virgo. This may come in handy if you end up needing to talk business with people like bankers and lawyers . . . god forbid.
Other than dealing with the possibility your partner might be bouncing off the walls early in week, Libra, hopefully you are feeling less weighed down by life. Do start giving some thought to making your lifestyle more frugal and where your budget can be trimmed back.
Even though you are not known for tact, Scorpio, you can use it very effectively. If you have to talk someone around now, do it as early in the week as you can. Others may begin to recognize you as a serious contender.
You get a major shot of energy this week, Sagittarius, so don’t fritter it away. The best place to apply some of that enthusiasm and drive is on the job. If you don’t have one, now is a good time to look. Go for it!
Should you find yourself speaking in front of a group of your peers, Capricorn, you might be pleasantly surprised to do a good job of it. You can come across as serious but compassionate – a wonderful combination. Make the most of this gift.
Taking your career to the next level might be on the top of your agenda, Aquarius. If so, please take care to polish your presentation to avoid coming across as too bold and reckless. Support is there from behind the scenes. Be tactful!
You are in a unique place right now, Pisces, of being in the position to manifest something important to you. Emphasize compassion, nurturance of others and integrity when contemplating how you want to go about it. Be practical too.
If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too.

So Ceres and Neptune are filling the old boy with good food and drink to get him to lighten up? I like the way they think!
Maybe they’ll get him to loosen up a bit and not be such a downer. I’ve got my fingers crossed.
Hey cj!

Me too! Though this is probably only temporary and designed to lull us into thinking Saturn will excuse irresponsible behaviors . . . NOT!

He’ll be even more aggravated once he’s out from under their spell. No irresponsibility allowed.
*sigh* You’re probably right . . .

Well, I hope the overall mood and flare-up of the beginning of the week (nice timing) dissipates as everyone in this household is frowning and grumping about! I know this cycle has a lot of surface air, but it could be a drain none the less! Thank goodness for yoga!
Hey Pixie!
I know this cycle has a lot of surface air, but it could be a drain none the less!
Indeed . . . thankfully Mercury & Venus both leave Uranus behind quickly though the Venus-Mercury sextile continues thru the end of October.
Yoga is a wonderful tool for stress reduction and with Mars in energetic Sadge now, staying physically active one way or another is much easier. A real blessing!

A Virgo here, I feel my argument is totally sound, but I doubt it will be convincing. Kind of hard when you have transiting Mars conjunct your natal Uranus in 7th, I bet my viewpoint, which is progressive, will not be well-received.
Welcome dendroica,

Well yes . . . a Mars-Neptune transit in Sagittarius, especially if it squares any of your Virgo placements could stir the pot. If you can’t get your point across now, abide until after the New Moon clears the atmosphere some.
good luck!

Hi Diane,
I stumbled across your site whilst searching out info on Saturn finally leaving Libra (very excited!). I’m a Libra sun and moon too (Capricorn rising) and it’s been a long, hard, relentless slog over the last few years…though there have been some rewards (financially and career-wise I’m in a much, much better place), it’s been tough on my relationship to say the least.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that your weekly forecast here was spot-on for this week..so far. Amazing.
From another Libran seeking balance. – thanks so much for your informative and lovely site!

The feedback I’ve been getting from other Sun-Moon in Libra folk like ourselves tell the same tale. Usually having the Sun & Moon in the same sign works out well but not when under a tough transit. Congrats on your success!
