Mercury flitting into my first house has increased the tendency of my brain to skitter all over the place hence today’s offering of astrological odds & ends.
The Moon, IC & cleaning house: I admit I’m no neat freak though I do like a clean house. My Libra Moon leans towards keeping things looking nice but with Pisces on the cusp of the fourth house I tend to sporadic bouts of deep cleaning. Because I’m serious about my cooking, my kitchen is very well maintained and I have a thing about clean bathrooms. However, those areas of the house I seldom spend time in can get ignored. Libra Moon is much better about keeping the public areas of the house clean and tidy.
So what has a greater influence? I’d say if you have a loaded fourth house, it will likely override your Moon and vice versa. With no planets in my fourth but Pisces’ ruler Neptune conjunct my Moon, it does explain why I can dive in and deep clean an untended corner in my house whilst ignoring other more obvious piles of stuff. A dear Pisces friend used to happily clean her closets and be oblivious to the dust bunnies collecting under the furniture in the living room. My progressed Moon is in Pisces right now and probably why my cleaning habits are sliding in that direction.
Venus & Appearance: I took advantage of the Mercury-Venus sextile harmoniously aspecting my Ascendant yesterday to highlight my hair. It came out beautifully! The longer I track these transits, the more I see it is favorable Venus transits to the Ascendant with the best track record for great results when it comes to improving the appearance. Makes sense, doesn’t it? By the way, by doing it myself it only costs me $8 . . . instead of $70+. Pluto transiting the second house like that!
Sun conjunct Saturn in Scorpio this week: The couple of days when this aspect was strongest had the effect of markedly reducing my inner “noise”. So far I have no complaints about Saturn in Scorpio. It seems to be having a positive impact on my stress levels unlike Saturn in Libra which produced plenty of angst.
Next week starts off with the Taurus Full Moon, nice! However I do want to give my Libra readers a head’s up for the latter half of the week . . . Venus in Libra will be hitting the Uranus-Pluto square. It will first oppose Uranus, then square Pluto. What might happen is a brief uptick in angst and animosities possibly due to jealousy among other things. Those folks with personal planets and/or ASC from 5° to 7° in the cardinal signs will be most affected.

I can get completely OCD with the cleaning, which was really stressing me out when the children grew too old to take notice of me :/ I have had women friends in the past raise eyebrows when they have popped in whilst I am mopping floors like a mad woman, two days, or even one day, after I was mopping floors like a mad woman. I even gave my middle child some sort of skin condition because he was too clean lol These days I have learned to go with the flow a lot more, for my own sanity, but I still get a bit freaked with the mess at times. My house is clean but never as clean as I would like it.
LOL, Pixie! Both my step-daughters have Cappy on the IC and the older one in particular keeps her house just so! They both have definite ideas about the whole cleaning thing.
I can be pretty anal about certain things in my house like having a clean kitchen to cook in but my house is old and not easy to keep up. *shrug*

i’m also a freak about cleaning and i love a good smell, and the house should always smell like a garden, and the floor should be clean and all the things should be in equilibrium (?)
. Since i’m leaving alone, i’m much better. i use to have this thing in my friends’s houses to move objects without no one noticed on the furniture, when something appears to me out of balance, i don’t know if i’m writing it well, sorry.

Some of us Libras can’t help but want to straighten crooked pictures (or similar visual annoyances). I’ve done it more than once too. I agree about a home smelling good too though I have a hard time finding just the right fragrance because most the commercial ones are too strong. My sense of smell is very good nowadays & bad odors can be downright nauseating.

Yup! My Moon progressed into Pisces into July & only recently stopped flirting with Neptune . . . thankfully.
I am blaming that on the urge to clean odd corners I haven’t touched in forever.
This is one of those times I’m grateful to be living anywhere but the East Coast. My heartfelt sympathies go out to all who do. That’s a lot of water coming your way! BTW, we didn’t feel even the slightest tremor of the Canadian earthquake yesterday.
