For the next week Saturn in Scorpio forms a Grand Trine in water with Chiron in Pisces and Ceres in Cancer. This one fascinates me because it holds tremendous healing potential, with the emphasis on “potential” due to those trines. Unlike the irritation of squares, trines seldom encourage us to take action so taking advantage of this pattern requires some initiative on our parts.
On the whole this is a subtle pattern in part because we’re talking water signs that are usually reticent about discussing their issues. These are folks who are experts at evading scrutiny and changing the subject when they don’t want to discuss personal matters. Cancers clam up, Scorpio walks away and Pisces is the master of evasion. What we can do is look within because this Grand Trine is excellent for exploring our internal workings and checking for sore spots.
It is worth noting one thing Chiron is very, very good at is helping others heal their wounds even as his own continues to bleed. Chiron in sympathetic Pisces can be a very effective listener too. What Ceres does best is nurture others and in maternal Cancer, she will be happy to feed you whilst offering a shoulder to cry on.
Both of these two are happily teaming up to aid Saturn in Scorpio deal with his feelings of inadequacy . . . Saturn ALWAYS feels inadequate about something you know. In Scorpio it probably has to do with sexual inadequacies. Liz Greene describes one possible response is overemphasizing the sexual performance side. Another is becoming celibate for all the wrong reasons. If Chiron and Ceres can help us accept and acknowledge these feelings, then we can start the healing process.
By the way, there are good reasons for choosing to be celibate for awhile. If you are beginning to feel like love making is more about appeasing your partner than celebrating the love and joy you feel together, then it might be a good idea to take a break. Going through the motions because of expectations – either theirs or yours – can take all the fun out of sex in short order. Something to consider anyway.
I suppose I better mention the role that troublemaker Uranus in Aries has to play in this scenario since it will be squaring Ceres in Cancer, inconjunct Saturn in Scorpio and semi-sextile Chiron in Pisces during the two week period the Grand Trine is in effect. Yeah . . . not fun. Simply put, indulging in erratic, self centered behaviors will sabotage the healing process, so please don’t.
In case anyone’s interested, those people with personal planets and/or Ascendant from 3° to 5° in the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) will benefit the most from this Grand Trine. Those with personal planets at 4° Aries (where Uranus will be) will need to monitor any urge to self- sabotage the closest. Or you can easily ignore the whole thing and go on your merry way! *grin*
The Grand Trine will be in effect until the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Scorpio.© Copyright 2012 Diane L, All rights Reserved. Written For: Libra Seeking Balance
