We celebrated Thanksgiving Day yesterday and I enjoy it so much more when it falls right around the time the Sun enters convivial Sagittarius. In part because shortly after that happens the Sun conjoins my natal first house Venus in Sagittarius . . . putting me in the mood to enjoy socializing. There is nothing like the Sun conjoining the Ascendant and crossing the first house to feel awake and energized once more after the introspection of the twelfth house.
Please be aware Mercury in Scorpio is slowing to a crawl as it prepares to station direct on Monday, 26 November. It is still in the neighborhood of my natal Mars-Mercury conjunction and I am reminding myself of the virtues of using tact and diplomacy rather than slicing and dicing those who dare disagree with me. My brother in law and I had an amazingly civil discussion about politics yesterday considering we are VERY far apart on the liberal-conservative spectrum. It helps his Mercury in Cancer is closely trine my Mercury-Ascendant in Scorpio.
My younger sister whose Sagittarius Sun-Mercury conjoin my Venus naturally is someone who I enjoy spending time with. We agree more often than not and like each other. Both my sisters and I are generally more liberal on social issues and as my younger one said, “let government do government things and stay out of my private life.” Our Libra mom was always a champion of women’s causes and we are following in her footsteps.
I also want to express my thanks to all of you who stop by to visit here and leave a comment or two. Those comments make me think and for someone with Mercury on the Ascendant, that’s a very good thing.

Several days later, I had a profound change in my employment situation. This after an expensive cross country re-location and the disruption of a few peoples lives. With your advice, this Libra will be weighing and balancing my options and you can be sure I will “have plenty to say’ and “they are likely to hear about it”. Thank you for the warning and the advice on how to deal with this totally unexpected situation.

A Thanksgiving guest discussed the existence of spirits with my dad… who doesn’t believe in that stuff. I explained to him (Cancer) in a short, calm sentence that some believe differently than others.

I have so enjoyed your blog. I like that you take time to respond. Happy Holidays to you. I had a huge employment change last week. I finally got an MSF assignment. And, just when I was thinking the eclipse in my 10th won’t bring anything new. Mercury was conjunct my mid heaven so hopefully that doesn’t mean I’m not seeing clearly.
