Observations: Yipee! Venus arrives in Sagittarius

Venus in Sagittarius

Venus in Sagittarius

For those who are growing weary of Venus in Scorpio’s deep, dark passions we have relief right around the corner when she romps into Sagittarius on October 7. Here Venus is more interested in enjoying life and laughing with her lovers . . . yes, plural because this Venus is slow to commit to one person. Whilst Venus in Sagittarius is not as open minded and experimental as say Venus in Aquarius, she still prefers to steer clear of the deep end Scorpio loves so much.

This year’s journey through Sagittarius begins with a seriously romantic square to the King of Romance, Neptune in Pisces on October 10 at 2°. [F.Y.I. Neptune will be lingering at 2° from October 6 to December 21.] Heartfelt promises may be made over candlelit dinners or drinks but they may dissolve like the mist with the morning sun. Choose your lovers with great care under this influence.

The following week Venus interacts with Saturn in Scorpio and that dynamic duo, Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. Since Sagittarius falls between Scorpio and Capricorn, Venus will be semi-sextile first Pluto on October 16 and then Saturn on October 18. Like it or not, what can be construed as “frivolous” behaviors might be frowned on that week. It won’t be easy to do though because Uranus in Aries will be trine Venus on October 16 and it is a safe bet that planet will be doing its best to bring out Venus’s wild and crazy side. Popcorn, anyone?

Jupiter in Cancer makes the last aspect of significance to Venus, an inconjunct on October 26. What makes this one interesting is Jupiter rules Sagittarius, setting up a mixed message scenario. The biggest problem arises because Cancer and Sagittarius have very different priorities when it comes to security issues. Cancer is happiest when committed and holding on with both claws whereas Sagittarius fights feeling tied down with everything in them. Excess is a definite possibility but what kind? Emotional venting and/or excessive risk taking are both likely. Since this aspect occurs on the weekend of October 26-27 we may be better off rummaging around alone at yard sales looking for bargains rather than getting together with our sweetheart.

Laughter is what seduces Venus in Sagittarius, not vows of undying love or expensive gifts. She really means it when she says an excellent sense of humor is what she finds most appealing in potential lovers. Could be why she finds witty Mars in Gemini so intriguing and skitters away from Mars in Pisces or Virgo. Of course, adventurous Mars in Sagittarius is her favorite. Rugged outdoor types with a twinkle in their eyes and laughter in their hearts melt hers.

Take time to have some fun over the next few weeks. Indulge in some lighthearted flirtations with folks who know you aren’t serious and make opportunities to laugh out loud.

It’s coming Diane, our Venus return and I don’t know about you, but I feel like I shed 1,000 lbs of problems and situations that have been dragging me down for 5 years. Why I abused myself in this way and for so long, I’ll never know. Will you be doing a post on Mars and its long visit to Libra starting in December?

      Hi Lynda!
Will you be doing a post on Mars and its long visit to Libra starting in December?

Several . . . but first we have a Venus in Capricorn Rx to slog thru. It starts near the Winter Solstice and lasts thru January. There will be one Venus-Pluto conj (square Uranus of course) and when Venus stations direct it will be within 1° of Pluto. One bright spot is Venus will be direct before Mars is Rx. Nor will Venus Rx overlap the first Mercury Rx of 2014. What we will do is move from Venus Rx to Mercury Rx to Mars Rx the first six months of 2014! That’s a LOT of time spent in review. :D I hesitate to conjecture about the effects though I’ll be writing about them.

Scorpio venus isn’t for me, I’m looking forward to Sag in the 11th house. There’s been too much shenanigans lately. Mars moving into my 8th house might change things a bit too. xoxo
    Thanks Diane :)

Yes, there will probably be cheering when Venus leaves Scorpio for Sagittarius! :D We’ll have three planets in fire for about a week before Mars leaves Leo for Virgo on Oct 15.

Heh . . . with Koch houses, Mars has been in your 8th house for quite some time. Just thought I’d point that out. *smirk*
