Full Moon in Taurus

Full Moon in Taurus

© Diane Lang

Anyone expecting drama and excitement on this Full Moon at 25° 26′ Taurus may be in for a letdown. Taurus prefers to keep drama to a minimum and with only one planet in fire and none in air, the status quo will prevail. A conjunction between the rulers of the Scorpio Sun and Taurus Moon, Pluto and Venus, in conventional Capricorn confirms this.

Any time Venus conjoins Pluto, control issues surface and jealousy can rear its ugly head. Since Capricorn leans towards being controlling in their relationships already and Uranus in Aries is square the Venus-Pluto conjunction, we may see vicious arguments erupt seemingly out of nowhere over who is the boss. The basis of those disagreements though is likely the result of resentment building up behind the scenes for quite some time. Keep in mind the recent Solar Eclipse in Scorpio stirred up the mud at the bottom of some very deep waters. Those who have personal planets from 8° to 11° in the cardinal signs are candidates for standing up and letting the world know they have had enough!

A waxing trine between Saturn in Scorpio and Jupiter in Cancer (exact on December 12) connects to Mars in Virgo to create a mini-triangle in earth and water. This fortuitous pattern combines work ethic, inspiration and plenty of tenacity – perfect for works in progress. It affirms the need to go with clear strategies based firmly in reality. Success will come from sustained effort and a pragmatic approach.

For those who are still in the planning stages, the Mercury-North Node conjunction in Scorpio widely trine Neptune in Pisces is wonderful for choosing a direction. Our dreams, both while sleeping and when awake, may provide the keys needed to make the best possible choice. Intuition and gut feelings are an important factor here.

As Taurus Full Moons go, this is an especially touchy feely one. Celebrate the occasion with good food and drink in a comfortable environment. After the tensions of the eclipse season, we could use some down time, relaxing with friends and family. The Moon enjoys her stay in sensual, down to earth Taurus and with no major aspects to the luminaries to disturb matters we might as well eat, drink and be merry!

On a personal note: The lunar axis aligns with my Ascendant-Descendant with the Sun on my ASC. This is also when my progressed Venus in Scorpio arrives to conjoin my Ascendant for about a year and a half. At my age I’m thinking this means I will be aging with a modicum of grace. Nice!

The Mercury-North Node conjunction conjoins my natal Jupiter whilst my natal Mars gets kisses from both Mars in Virgo and Jupiter in Cancer. Looks like a great time to be planning the road ahead though all will not be revealed until Mercury emerges from my twelfth house. Like most twelfth house types, I have a rich inner life . . . something I occasionally share with you lucky souls who stop by here! *being facetious*

An aside: When I realized this lunation post was shorter and more to the point than usual, I started laughing. That is very appropriate for Taurus, Scorpio and a lunation chart leaning almost exclusively to earth and water. :D

      Hey Kaz!

This Full Moon creates a T-Square w/your Sun & taps into your lovely Kite in earth and water (includes the Nodal axis). Maybe important info will be revealed about your work situation allowing you to see clearly what you need to do. :D

Oh how lovely – pVenus on your Ascendant, and of course continuing in your 1st house! I predict good hair days for the foreseeable future!

The Taurus Full Moon will conjunct my Mars, and it appears that transiting Mars will be conjunct my Sun for the Full Moon. Hope I have lot of physical activity to do! I know we have company that weekend, which should suit Mars in Taurus for eating, drinking and being merry. At least I’ll likely have more than my usual minuscule tank of energy.

The NN continues its long stay at 7 Scorpio conjunct my IC until Dec 16th, the day scheduled for closing on the sale of my condo. Although my RE lawyer said it could get pushed out because condo transactions can take longer to process. Interesting timing though. (I moved into my present apartment 5 years ago when my pSun was exactly conjoined my IC.)

      Good hair days! Yes! :D

Yes, doubling up on Mars like that ought to help counteract your Sun-Saturn sq. Speaking of Saturn . . . how is Saturn in Scorpio sq your Leo placements going? One thing that transit do is encourage consistency w/exercise regimes!

Fingers crossed the closing on the sale of your condo goes smoothly! Taking longer is hardly a surprise with Saturn transiting your 4th! :)

Well, Saturn’s only hit Uranus thus far, and that may make me more disciplined about my sleep habits as I was sleeping terribly last week (every transit of/to Uranus seems to do this – didn’t think Saturn would, but I think he’s going for discipline there). I do have to figure out a new exercise routine with the onset of cold and dark curtailing my walking after work, and no place to walk at lunchtime with this job unless I drive somewhere first. And crunch time at work through the end of the year… The old Saturn squeeze. At least my Leo placements are familiar with him – natal trine.

Yeah, I hear you about that. Indoor exercise equipment like Nordic Trac & treadmills are very expensive. My brother who lives over in the greater Seattle area has a treadmill in his home . . . but his budget can handle it. Mine can’t.

With Uranus inconj my ASC-Mercury I have similar experiences. Hate to see any planet coming along to trigger it. From everything I’ve read, establishing consistent sleep habits is a critical component to overall good health. December brings Saturn in Scorp into orb to sq your ASC-Moon as well as sextile your Sun. :P

Full moon will be a couple degrees away from my AC/DC axis, too, just the same as yours, Diane. I’m hoping this spells a happy new chapter for my relationship life…I just ended up reuniting with “the one that got away” after ten years of being out of touch (and no, it was not during the retrograde!!!).

In an unbelievable turn of events we ended up falling for each other (FINALLY!) and it’s completely unreal. Ok, ok, Neptune is squaring my Venus, of course it feels unreal- but give me a break, I have Saturn planted firmly up my behind and he’s not letting anymore nonsense into my life! So anyhow, I am feeling ready to let go of past disappointments and trust again…I just need a little push and I’m hoping this full moon will help :)

:D :D Does he have anything in Taurus? Maybe conjoining your N Node or DES? That would be a good sign for sure.

LOL! Be sure to spend quality time together during the day & steer clear of intoxicants of any kind. Neptune transits & mind altering substances are a bad combo.

      Good luck!! :D :D

Nope…nothing in Taurus. Unless it’s something minor. We actually just took a major step back. Hmm. Guess I just can’t win with Neptune/Venus. Luckily both of us are completely drug and alcohol free. That adds a little clarity to the situation…

It may help when Mercury finally hits your ASC & leaves the 12th house. Neptune will finally leave 2° behind Dec 22 . . . just after the Winter Solstice when Venus goes Rx. LOL Congrats on being completely drug & alcohol free!! :D Very, very wise of you & your friend.
