The week starts off with a bang! On Monday the Sun enters Gemini and Uranus in Aries squares Pluto in Capricorn for the third time. Several aspects involving Mercury and Venus in Gemini take place as well . . . busy day! Since the Moon enters Libra on Monday it will add to the tension of the Uranus-Pluto square by creating a T-Square with both planets early Tuesday. Brace yourself, cardinal signs, especially if you have personal planets around 11°. Relationship issues can be pushed into the spotlight for better or worse.

When the Sun arrives in Gemini it brings a rush of mental energy. There is a vivid clarity to our thinking once again though there is also a tendency to dash from one bright idea to the next. Those who loved Mercury’s stay in thorough Taurus may disapprove of this mental flitting from one shiny object to the next but air and fire folk will be happy campers as they feel their mental horizons expanding once again.

Mercury in Gemini will be torn between feeling confined by Pluto in Capricorn and delightfully challenged by Uranus in Aries on Monday. Guess this means plenty of exciting yet disturbing dialogues about what the Uranus-Pluto square is doing. Be careful of blurting out insensitive comments on Tuesday when Mercury squares Chiron in Pisces. On Friday sweet Venus conjoins Mercury and she charms all with her witty remarks.

The weekend brings the third of the three eclipses, a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius. It also brings the exact Sun-Neptune square on Sunday and our imaginations may run wild. Not a weekend to take yourself or other people too seriously.

Thankfully we will have a chance to catch our breath midweek when the Moon travels through the quiet depths of Scorpio before a wild-eyed weekend Sagittarius Moon weekend. Please take a few moments here and there to de-stress, OK?

Rein yourself in if you can, Aries, to avoid trampling all over other people’s ideas. I know you are sure your thoughts and opinions are totally brilliant right now and the very idea of considering another POV is painful. Do something fun and exciting next weekend.

After being the center of attention for the past few weeks, Taurus, it might come as a relief to be out of it. You have plenty of other irons in the fire including some good ideas for making money. Friday is a good day to promote those.

Stand back, World! Here comes Gemini! Bright eyed, bushy tailed and back in the business of spreading cheer and good will. Do your best to edit what comes out of your mouth in order to avoid hurting other people’s feelings early in the week.

You might be ready to take a step back and spend more time alone for awhile, Cancer. Your life may get a bit fractious early in the week with demands coming in from all sides. The worst should blow over by midweek.

Social activities in support of a worthy cause are right down your alley, Leo. More than most you enjoy a lively gathering where you can circulate and chitchat. Helping others at the same is the icing on the cake. Great weekend to throw a party!

It is back into work mode for you this week, Virgo. On the whole your mind is working in high gear though do be careful to think before speaking. If you want to promote your cause at work, do so late in the week.

The first part of the week could find you feeling testier than usual, Libra. Usually you are the peacemaker but right now you will not be pushed. Do consider taking advantage of educational opportunities now as long as they pass the “smell” test.

Unlike most people, Scorpio, you don’t mind delving into the darker places within and now is a good time to do so. What looms large in darkness often turns out much more manageable with the lights on. Use what you find to fuel your creativity.

You might find yourself following your partner around in a state of bemusement, Sagittarius. They are full of themselves now and have plenty to say. Plan something fun for the weekend . . . maybe take in a sporting event or head to the country?

You may be coming across far more heavy handed than you realize these days, Capricorn, and you might get a stiff reminder of this early in the week. Take a conciliatory approach rather than making demands. It is also time to tune up your health and fitness regime.

Children, either yours or someone else’s, may spark your creativity now, Aquarius. Take time to get in touch with your inner child and spend more time playing. It might feel awkward at first but you’ll get the hang of it. Enjoy life!

Is it time for a fresh coat of paint or perhaps do a little furniture rearranging, Pisces? You are one of those who enjoy changing things up in your home. The coming weekend could bring some family issues to a head, like it or not.

If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. :D

The next step in the transition to Gemini occurs this week when Mercury leaves matter of fact Taurus for its home sign of Gemini. Lively, curious and changeable are all descriptive of Mercury in Gemini who uses words better than anyone as a smoke screen to veil its true intentions. Mercury makes its move on Wednesday.

Both Neptune and Saturn are busy boys this week, one of them offering enticements and the other following up with sharp reality checks. It is Venus in Gemini’s turn at the beginning of the week to square Neptune in Pisces one day and then inconjunct Saturn in Scorpio the next. On Saturday Mercury in Gemini will repeat those aspects. If we don’t maintain a healthy skepticism we might end up feeling rather bruised.

Uranus in Aries flirts pleasurably with Venus on Saturday via a sextile. Given the bumpy ride Mercury is in for the same day, I strongly suggest keeping your romantic encounters light and breezy. As I said . . . a “healthy skepticism”.

The sky is short on fire right now with only Uranus in Aries representing that element. Fire signs will get a lift when the Moon is in lordly Leo from late Wednesday thru late Friday. Air signs are enjoying the gradual influx of planets into Gemini whilst earth and water folk have plenty of support.

Be aware this is the week leading up to the first exact Uranus-Pluto square of 2013 on 20 May at 11° 13′. There is a feeling of underlying tension thrumming in the background right now.

Still a good week to deal with practicalities as the Sun finishes its journey through Taurus. Personally I’m enjoying having a more balanced sky with the addition of Venus and Mercury in Gemini. These cycles when we have a heavy preponderance in one sign are not comfortable for this Libra person.

Though you are not usually much for tact and diplomacy, Aries, you may find it easier to use this week, much to the relief of your Libra friends. However you best stick with your “honest to a fault” approach. Anything else won’t fly.

As much as you love a good bargain, Taurus, fudging the facts to get one could get you into trouble. You likely have a reputation for being unusually good at assessing value so don’t risk losing that. Your partner will set you straight.

The charm offensive begins this week in earnest for you, Gemini! It may be tempting to spread it on a little too thick but please do your best to maintain some decorum. Save your best lines for play time rather than on the job.

When it comes to love and romance now, Cancer, you might be plagued by doubts and fears. There is a very good chance those have no basis in reality and are only night fears. Have an honest conversation to dispel these uncertainties.

Your interest in hitting the social scene picks up this week, Leo, though please continue to devote the majority of your attention to your career. Obligations to family members could interfere with your desire to get out and start networking with your peers.

Staying focused and on task could be challenging this week, Virgo, particularly when dealing with your boss or other authority figures. Your partner might be part of the problem or at the very least, a distraction. Don’t beat yourself up too much over any missteps, OK?

Dreaming about taking a vacation and getting away from it all, Libra? Better check and make sure you can afford to before calling a travel agent. This is one of those when escaping temporarily into a good book or movie might be a wiser idea.

Once again you might find yourself having to be the voice of cold reason, Scorpio. It’s a role you’ve found yourself in a lot in recent months and it’s not going to end any time soon. This time may have to do with joint finances.

Dealings with your significant other might get tricky this week, Sagittarius. Don’t let them pull the wool over your eyes or evade the truth through slight of tongue. Find out what is really going on and hold them accountable. Weekend could be an emotional roller coaster ride.

You might unintentionally be misleading in your communications this week, Capricorn, especially when talking with coworkers. It is one of those times when taking a few moments to verify your facts before laying them out would be a good idea. Underlying tensions with family intensify too.

If you happen to end up meeting someone you are attracted to now, Aquarius, it would be a good idea to apply a large measure of that healthy skepticism I mentioned above. Rather than jump in with both feet, keep it light.

Dealings with your extended family are where you may get into trouble this week, Pisces. In order to avoid confrontations you might be tempted to tell a little white lie or two. Please don’t because it may backfire on you and make matters worse.

If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. :D

Centerpiece of this week is the New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus on 9 May making this another very Taurus week though there are hints of change ahead.

Mercury in Taurus is content making only harmonious connections to Mars, the Sun, Pluto and Chiron. First thing to keep in mind is folks could be quite attached to their opinions and unwilling to consider other options. Standing on one’s principles is all well and good if doing so doesn’t land you in the soup. Unlike cardinal and mutable Mercurys who are quite good at coming up with numerous options, fixed Mercurys are not. Not being able to see a way out of a bad situation tends to not end well.

The Mercury-Pluto trine at the start of the week is excellent for handling business matters with patience and thoroughness. Sometimes obsessing over every detail can work to our advantage. The conjunctions to Mars in Taurus midweek and the Sun on the weekend are better for doing repetitive tasks than multi-tasking. Fire and air folk might need to bite their tongues and practice patience because no one hurries the Bull. You will get a well thought out answer to your question but on Taurus’ schedule, not yours.

Venus is the first planet to leave the comfort of earthy Taurus for cool, dry air of Gemini on Thursday. Somehow it is fitting that the first contact Venus in quixotic Gemini has is Neptune in Pisces. The square between these two will not be exact until the following week but we’ll notice the effects over the weekend when the Moon is in Gemini also squaring Neptune. Neptune casts his glamour over Venus and we are tempted to jump into romantic adventures that may end weirdly. The morning after could be revealing and not in a good way. Be careful!

Excellent week ahead for you earth signs as you are well supported and the water signs will be fine. Fire and air people will find the weekend most congenial and a good time to blow off their frustrations from the past week. The motto for the week ought to be “just do it already”!

One thing you excel at, Aries, is taking action whilst others are still dithering and this week is perfect for launching a plan to improve your cash flow. However you also need to remember those in charge don’t always approve of taking independent thinking to the extreme.

Time to refurbish your public image, Taurus! Yes, you can still go with the classics but choosing a look appropriate to the times won’t kill you. It will be easier to find something trendy you like that will blend with your current wardrobe later in the week.

Revelations bubbling up from your unconscious are potentially life changing, Gemini. I know you are reluctant to rummage around in your dark side but do it anyway. :D The latter part of the week looks far brighter and livelier for you. Enjoy!

Now is a great time for you to step up and actively support your favorite social cause, Cancer. Find a group of like-minded people and commit yourself to doing your bit on a regular basis. You’ll like the way it makes you feel.

This is it, Leo, time for you to put those long term plans into motion and take the next step towards achieving your career goals. Do you aspire to step into your boss’s shoes? Believe in yourself and take a chance. Go for it!

If you have been contemplating furthering your education, Virgo, don’t put off applying any longer. Choose a course that emphasizes practical training programs designed for a specific role. Adding to your skill set can only be to your benefit in the long run.

A transformative experience of some kind may come your way now, Libra, and if you’re lucky it will be a pleasant one . . . if you’re lucky. If not, then do your best to allow events to unfold as they will. Fun weekend ahead for you.

Your one-on-one relationships are front and center this week, Scorpio. Where do you want to see those go? Are you willing to commit to something more lasting, or do you want to call it off altogether. Either way, you need to take action.

No more procrastinating, Sagittarius, about starting an honest to god good diet and exercise regime. Take the first step now and then keep on going. You know how much better being active makes you feel, not to mention having the sun on your face and wind in your hair.

You do have a creative side, Capricorn, though you tend to feel somewhat insecure in this regard. Now is the time to be brave and let your inner artist free. Write, paint, play music, dance or audition for a part in a play. Whatever floats your boat.

Are you bored with the way your living space looks, Aquarius? Then do something about it. Clean house, rearrange the furniture and bring in some flowers or a new piece of art. Apply a coat of fresh paint to brighten the room. All are good.

If you’ve been looking for some new and different to do, Pisces, consider taking part in a neighborhood improvement project of some kind. You enjoy helping others and this would be a great way to make new friends. Enjoy family activities on the weekend.

If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. :D

Taurus

Big news this week is Mercury leaving Aries for the quiet pastures of Taurus on May Day. We’ll be living with a Taurus dominated sky from 1 May until 9 May when Venus shifts from Taurus to Gemini. Whether you grin or groan depends on how much earth you can handle without feeling stuck in the mud.

The most challenging aspects this week are two oppositions: Mars in Taurus opposite Saturn in Scorpio 30 April-1 May and Mercury in Taurus opposing Saturn on Sunday. Fixed oppositions can degenerate into standoffs where nothing gets accomplished or genuine progress can be made through seeking common ground. Taurus and Scorpio are the natural rulers of the second house and the eighth house . . . both of which deal with money. Guess what most couples argue about? Money! Do we save it or spend it? Libra says create a sensible budget that allows a little of both.

The Taurus Sun and Mars are both trine Pluto in Capricorn this week, the Sun on 1 May and Mars on Sunday. Think of the power generated by shifting into the lowest gear range. You may not be moving very fast but not much will be able to stand in your way. These are very good aspects for leveling the playing field in love or business.

On Friday a sextile between Mercury in Taurus and Neptune in Pisces happens when the Sun is sextile Chiron making it a perfect for hands on healing treatments and quiet conversations. Soothing music and fragrances complete the experience. Allow your mind to drift and observe what emerges . . . a very creative time.

Those who have personal planets or Angles at 11° in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) are on notice this week. Fire and air signs are going to need to summon up every scrap of patience they can because the Bull will NOT be hurried.

Like it or not, Aries, it is time to realize you had a great run but now you need to turn your attention back to basics. More than most you thrive on a fast pace with plenty of excitement. Best prepare for something less thrilling.

Taurus, this is a great time to be you. It is easy for you to set your priorities and deliver the goods. Often you feel like those around you are moving far too quickly and consequently miss out. Don’t overlook the value of compromise.

Time for you to kick back and rest on your laurels for awhile, Gemini. You’ve pushed yourself hard recently and deserve to take a time out. Don’t worry, you still have what it takes to be noticed if you need to catch someone’s eye.

The first couple of days this week may bring a surge of activity in your career sector, Cancer, but you are drawn more too spending time with your friends, eating good food and enjoying pleasant conversation. Great time for potluck gatherings – excellent food!

Let’s face it, Leo, it is time to devote the majority of your time and energy on figuring out your long term goals. Get feedback from coworkers, both past and present, to help you with these. Don’t neglect your family either.

A comfortable week ahead for you, Virgo. The overall pace should be more consistent and less erratic than it has been recently. You know the value of having a regular daily routine and how it enhances productivity. Take some time for fun this weekend.

Whilst your one-on-one relationships may be less hectic now, Libra, you may find yourself having to discuss various financial issues with your family. Don’t’ be concerned as you may end up benefiting from them. You are another who welcomes the slower pace.

Scorpio, it is your turn to find your life revolving around your one-on-one relationships and this week appears to favor sitting down for some serious discussions. If there are old issues in need of airing, drag those out into the light. It will help..

It is time for you to tune up your daily work habits, Sagittarius. What with all the fun distractions recently, you may have let that slide some. You know you function best under a simple, regular routine with no surprises.

Yes, you can take more time to play, Capricorn! Feed your inner child and explore your creativity for a change. If you can combine a little networking with friends and colleagues whilst enjoying yourself, that would be the icing on the cake.

At this time your challenge might be finding a balance between career and home, Aquarius. The best approach may be to fulfill any and all obligations at work first. Once those are out of the way, head home to relax with family.

Spending time with close friends and extended family members may appeal to you now, Pisces. The coming weekend looks to be particularly great for you! Be sure to plan something special. Your ability to charm will be in full force. Enjoy!

Taurus © kimsol

Taurus season has arrived! It is time to shift gears and get used to a more deliberate pace because Taurus refuses to be rushed. Since Mars in Taurus is traveling with the Sun these days provoking the Bull could have regrettable consequences. Once he gets mad he won’t cool down for awhile. You don’t want to get in his way either because you might get trampled. Fortunately sweet Venus is also in Taurus and can sooth tempers with a gentle touch. Neptune in Pisces adds a note of compassion sextile the Sun-Mars conjunction. Very fortunate in this instance!

Speaking of Venus . . . she will oppose Saturn in Scorpio on Monday, be trine to Pluto in Capricorn on Wednesday and sextile Chiron in Pisces on Thursday. These are not exactly light-hearted planets but very good for taking a serious approach to love and romance. Commitments may be easier to make at this time and once made will likely endure. If you are considering marriage these are excellent aspects for that.

We also have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio this week that may reveal more about our relationships than we might want to know. With the majority of the planets in earth and water signs, we are best served by taking a pragmatic approach to problem solving rather than an idealistic one. Excellent time to review those projects we started during Aries season to determine what is working and dispense with what is not. The waxing opposition between the Taurus Sun and Saturn in Scorpio underscores the need for practical solutions.

For the fire and air contingent there is one bright spot – Mercury in Aries will be sextile Jupiter in Gemini on Tuesday. Spontaneity, good humor and fascinating free-wheeling discussions are inspired by this sextile, creating a nice balance to all that weighty Taurus action. *grin*

After we adjust to the Taurus inspired priorities this looks to be a pleasant week. If it is spring time in your area, look at the beautiful flowers or, better yet, plant some in your yard or in pots on a sunny window sill. Enjoy the small things that can make our lives sweet.

To get another perspective for the week, check out Karen’s Weekly Tarot for this week on Isis Moon Tarot.

Lots going in your mind now, Aries, and overall you may be feeling pretty upbeat. This means it could be a very good time to come up with bright ideas for improving the old cash flow. Also good for contemplating what you truly value.

“Smug” might be a good term to apply to you these days, Taurus! If you are happy with yourself and your life, it is likely due to your own efforts and ability to know a good deal when you see one. Celebrate!

Even though you know you need to take time to sort out some self-defeating behaviors, Gemini, that probably won’t happen this week . . . too many interesting distractions. What you likely will end up doing is sitting down with your circle of friends to chat.

Brainstorming with your boss may be very productive at this time, Cancer, and your opinion is valued so don’t hesitate to offer them. It is the desire to get out and socialize with friends, peers and other congenial folk that holds more appeal.

Sharing tales from your travels with friends could be high on your list of things to do, Leo. That’s fine as long as you remain clear about your career priorities. For the next few weeks putting serious time and effort into your career takes precedence.

There is a possibility you could see a positive breakthrough when it comes to your work goals, Virgo, perhaps through some kind words from your accountant or banker. If you have the urge to take time for advanced studies now is a great time for that too.

You always appreciate a well deserved compliment, Libra, and coming from your significant other even more so. A few of those may be coming your way this week. Hopefully the less frantic pace now will give your poor nerves a rest. Less stress please.

Productive discussions with your partner, either business or personal, might be on tap this week, Scorpio. This is an excellent time to go over joint financial matters and perhaps make sure your schedules are coordinated. Set aside time to have fun too.

Spending time with your significant other, enjoying good conversation and a few laughs will probably be at the top of your list, Sagittarius. That’s OK as long as you make a real commitment to getting health issues addressed too. You can’t ignore them much longer.

A much more pleasant week ahead for you, Capricorn. You’ve had your ups and downs where family is concerned lately and you’re ready to enjoy life for awhile. It is time to reintroduce yourself to your inner child and learn how to play once more.

It may surprise some who don’t know you well, Aquarius, but you can be a real homebody and that is where your heart will be for the next few weeks. Invite some close friends over. Their input may spark your creative side.

You have a surprisingly practical mind, Pisces, despite your reputation for drifting off into la la land occasionally. This side of you really emerges now making it an excellent time to take care of business. Surprise people with a display of decisiveness.

If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. :D
