Just wanted to wish everyone a bright and joyful holiday season before diving into last minute preparations for our family celebration this weekend. When I recover from that it will be time to start taking a serious look at the possibilities of the year ahead.

Yay! The Sun moves into Aries and we begin a new astrological year today and there is a Sun-Mercury conjunction in Aries making sure this is a much discussed event. Observations: Personal Planets on the Ascendant

For some reason I have found my thoughts returning time and again to what it means to have planets conjoining the Ascendant, especially in terms of our health and well-being. I have Mars-Mercury conjoining the Ascendant from the twelfth house side.

Having Mars, Scorpio’s ruler, conjoined my Scorpio rising pretty much blessed me with a strong constitution and for the most part, I have been pretty healthy most of my life. Observations: Natal Moon Aspects – Uranus & Pluto

Outer planets aspects to the Moon are often more challenging to integrate than to other personal planets because so much of what the Moon represents is not easily accessible on a conscious level. I know this because my poor beleaguered Moon is conjoined Neptune, trine Uranus and sextile my Saturn-Pluto conjunction. This time around I’m going to look at Uranus and Pluto.

When I saw the Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Pisces on last Tuesday, I thought it looked pretty harmless and cuddly and anticipated a generally uneventful week because most of the time favorable aspects to Venus benefit Libra but only if there are not contra-indicators in one’s personal chart.
