Observations: Mars Slowing Down

© Diane Lang

Even though Mars in Virgo won’t be stationing retrograde at 23° 05′ Virgo until 23 January (the same day as the New Moon in Aquarius), it is starting to noticeably slow down. Usually Mars takes about two days to move a degree and now it’s up to six days and will spend ten days at its station degree. When we need patience the most, it will be hardest to come by.

Mars is currently transiting my tenth and is in the process of making the first of three passes sextile my natal Mars-Mercury conjunction in [...]

Observations: Neptune Inspired Thoughts

© Bikszegi-lipai Daciana | Dreamstime.com

Today Neptune is stationing direct and begins its final journey through Aquarius, arriving once more in Pisces in February 2012. The effect Neptune has had on the collective in Aquarius seems to have been more about denial and less about spiritual growth and development from my point of view . . . at least so far. Sometimes the sea changes Neptune brings about show up after it has moved on and sobriety returns. We’re going to be living with a monumental hangover over the next few years, thanks in part to those hard [...]

Libra Weekly Horoscopes for November 7, 2011

© Diane Lang

Neptune is stationing direct the middle of this week and with Mars in Leo opposing it during the same interval, we have a recipe for confusion and illusion. Hardest hit will be those with planets and Angles in the last couple of degrees of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius).

Later Mars will enter nit picking detail oriented Virgo on 10 November, shortly after the Full Moon in Taurus. On the weekend, it will be inconjunct Uranus in Aries and be driven to distraction by feeling pressured to do something before it [...]

At Last! Mars in Virgo!

Just a quick “head’s up” about Mars entering Virgo and the resulting inconjuncts to both Jupiter and Uranus in Aries because this could make the transition much more interesting.

Since both Jupiter and Uranus are in Aries (which Mars rules) Mars gains more punch whenever he forms an aspect to those two planets. The formal astrological term is ‘dipositor’ for those who like such things. Me, I’m just going to pay particular attention to the red planet as long as Uranus is in Aries!

This morning Mars will first inconjunct Jupiter at 7:26AM PDT and then inconjunct Uranus at [...]

Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, August 16, 2008

Full Moon in Aquarius reflections

The lunar eclipse at the Full Moon this Saturday is the second of the pair of eclipses this month, with the Sun at 24°21′ Leo and the Moon at 24° 21′ Aquarius.

During a lunar eclipse, the Earth is between the Sun and Moon, and the Earth’s shadow falling on the Moon causes the eclipse. The qualities of the Moon are enhanced, and a lunar eclipse can allow us to get in touch with our subtle emotional motivations without the interference of the Sun’s brilliance.

The Full Moon in Aquarius is conjoined with Neptune, further emphasizing empathy and [...]
