Big noise this week is about the Sun leaving the deep, intense waters of Scorpio and bursting out into the wide open spaces of Sagittarius. I find this transition one of the most dramatic the Sun makes. It always feels like I’ve escaped one more time . . . though from what I’m not entirely sure because I do like Scorpio.
The last days the Sun is in Scorpio will see Mars in Virgo sextile Jupiter in Cancer. This is a quietly upbeat sextile combining Virgo efficiency with Cancer’s love of seeing loved ones cared for. This is a great time to help out in practical ways by volunteering to clean the house or the yard. Small helpful gestures will count just as much as the grand ones.
Mercury in Scorpio returns to make one more translation of the Uranus-Pluto square on Tuesday and Wednesday. What might occur is revisiting issues brought to our attention on November 1 once again. Perhaps this time we will be able to resolve those now that we’ve had a chance to think about. Mercury in Scorpio always benefits from more thinking time.
Thursday, November 21, is the day the Sun enters Sagittarius and over the weekend is when it will be square Neptune in Pisces. Speaking of the weekend, it is looks quite favorable for enjoying ourselves for a change. The Moon spends the whole weekend in Leo who loves to throw a good party. Venus in Capricorn is sextile Saturn in Scorpio and that ought to ensure we don’t get too far out of line.
It should be fairly easy for you to stay in a positive frame of mind this week, Aries. Your energy levels look good and your spirit will get a big boost late in the week as your horizons open up once more. It has been awhile coming.
Conversations with your partner may be quite productive now, Taurus, whether they concern joint finances or ongoing projects. You have no trouble maintaining the necessary discipline to achieve your goals. Enjoy spending time with family this weekend.
Your mental gears are engaging more smoothly now, Gemini, and that helps keep you sane. Thankfully your ability to see the humor in awkward situations and make jokes about it begins to return later this week. Yes, the light at the end of the tunnel approaches!
Coming up with creative solutions to longstanding issues regarding your career is possible this week, Cancer. You might get help with this from an old friend or your significant other. Clear your head by heading outdoors for a long walk.
Discussions with family members may prove surprisingly fruitful at this time, Leo. Be sure to keep an open mind through all this. You could find your interest in going out to play and generally enjoy yourself returning by the weekend. Make the most of it!
The first half of the week looks very favorable for dealing with complex problems, Virgo . . . your specialty. If these deal with projects that have been on hold for awhile, be sure to do your best to complete them ASAP.
It has been awhile since you felt much interest in spending time with your friends, Libra, and that is about to change. First though you need to tidy up loose ends regarding your personal finances, then you can relax and play this weekend.
Finishing up old business needs to take priority the first part of the week, Scorpio. You certainly have the necessary focus to handle that with ease. The spotlight moves off of you late in the week, something I doubt you will regret!
There is a good possibility your recent hard work could be rewarded now, Sagittarius, though don’t use that as an excuse to slack off. Wait until the weekend to celebrate with friends and family. Life starts to look a little brighter than.
Take advantage of the first part of the week to review your goals and objectives, Capricorn. You have the clarity now to catch anything you may have missed earlier. The next month is usually a good time for you to step back and relax.
Now would be a good time to wrap up any outstanding work related projects, Aquarius, because by the end of this week your attention may begin to shift to more light-hearted enterprises. Go play over the weekend with your partner!
The first few days this week look very favorable for you, Pisces, and a good time to do something just for the fun of it. All too soon you are going to be more visible than usual, especially in regards to your professional life.
If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too.
The entire week is a build up to two major events – the fourth exact Uranus-Pluto square at 9° on November 1 and an exciting New Moon Solar Eclipse at 11° Scorpio on November 3. The fact is the two are inextricably entwined and the best way to handle this is to focus on building reliable and authentic structures in your life. Earth and water continue to be the dominant elements after all.
Our internal dialogues are far more important to our health and well-being than external ones with retrograde Mercury conjoining the Scorpio Sun on Tuesday, October 29. This situation will continue through the rest of this week and probably until Mercury stations direct on November 10. Consider this . . . if we aren’t intimately familiar with our own inner landscape it is much tougher to navigate interactions with others. Learning to know and at least like ourselves has been shown to be a critical factor in attracting positive relationships in our lives. If we don’t like ourselves deep down, it is much more challenging to develop good relationships first with ourselves and then with others.
Mercury continues to feel the love from Mars in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn on Friday whilst taking a hit from Uranus in Aries. Even if it hurts, take your time to think things through. Be as honest as possible and true to yourself. Rushing to reckless judgment calls now is a very bad idea, no matter how tempting it might be.
The Cradle Pattern in earth and water begins to develop on Wednesday when Mars in Virgo exactly opposes Chiron in Pisces. The next day Mars will be trine Pluto in Capricorn and by Friday the Scorpio Sun will be trine Chiron and sextile both Mars and Pluto. I see this pattern as a helpful and useful antidote to the fourth exact Uranus-Pluto square. It seems like the best thing we can do for ourselves is make sure we are basing our opinions on fact as well as building those reliable and authentic structures in our lives as I mentioned above.
Thursday and Friday, when the Moon is in Libra creating a T-Square with Uranus and Pluto, hold the greatest potential for people to lose it. Please take care to treat others as fairly as possible and ALWAYS listen carefully to the other side of the story.
An excellent week to mind our own business, and be kind and forgiving of ourselves as well as those we interact with.
The best way to prevent yourself from coming completely unglued this week, Aries, is to work. Hopefully you will have a complicated, demanding task to tackle that will require intense concentration. Otherwise things could be really dicey late in the week. OK?!
Taurus, you may not be all that bothered by what is driving other people batty at this time. Choosing the right person to team up with though is critical but even there if you follow your gut instincts you will do quite well.
Wondering why your usual approach to problem solving is not working as well as usual, Gemini? That’s because a strictly intellectual approach is not going to give you all the necessary information. Try running it by some of your more intuitive coworkers.
This happens to be one of those times when you have much needed backup who have your best interests at heart, Cancer. Reach out to them and they will be there for you. Be aware your work environment may be tense this week.
The most demands on your time and energy, Leo, look to be coming from your home and family. You might also be in the process of considering moving or doing home maintenance projects. Don’t get in too big a hurry and be very pragmatic.
You are actually in a good place going into this eventful week, Virgo. Your energy levels are decent and your natural organizational abilities will stand you in good stead. Let your creative ideas brew for awhile before running them by anyone else.
You might want to steer clear of confrontations late in the week, Libra, or risk getting into a bigger fight than you’d planned for. Give very careful consideration to what is most important to you now by doing an inventory of available resources.
Clearly there is far more going on with you, Scorpio, than you are willing to share. Keep it that way for awhile yet because sharing too much information before you have your priorities lined out to your satisfaction will hinder rather than help.
These days your work is probably keeping you occupied, Sagittarius, but nonetheless you still have plenty going on behind that smiling face. Whether it is personal frustrations, problems at home or simply contemplating the nature of the universe, the rumblings are almost audible.
At this time you are in a very decent position to meet some long term goals, Capricorn, but I still feel the wisest course is to keep those plans under wraps. You should have a better of idea about the timing of your next move soon.
Dealing with the powers that be in order to further your career, Aquarius, is going to take some serious maneuvering and if you are not completely prepared, it may not end well. Hold off confronting them for awhile to get all your ducks in a row.
Not to put you on the spot or anything, Pisces, but you may be able to make a difference this week by exercising your compassionate side. Don’t worry; you will have plenty of help, especially from an old friend or your partner.
If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too.
It is amazing what a difference having Mars in precise, earthy Virgo makes after the past month or so in brilliant, dramatic Leo. This is a hardworking Mars who is capable of multitasking with the best of them and restoring order to the most chaotic situation. Patient, exacting and service oriented are all part of Mars in the sixth sign.
One of the best parts of having Mars in Virgo is how easily it will harmonize with all the other planets from Jupiter on out with the exception of Uranus in Aries. With the fourth exact square between Uranus and Pluto in Capricorn occurring on November 1, we can take some comfort from knowing Mars will be a calming influence rather than an inflaming one. Come next April and the fifth exact square, this will definitely not be the case . . . Mars will be in cardinal Libra, adding to the stress.
The first aspect to Mars will be an opposition to dreamy Neptune in Pisces on October 19. Though some may feel lethargic, others will find this opposition soothing, allowing them to relax for a change. If you have personal planets at 2° in the mutable signs, it is possible you will be more aware of this rather subtle event. Makes me sleepy just thinking about this opposition creating a T-Square with my first house Venus!
It is on October 31, Halloween, when Mars will be trine Pluto and inconjunct Uranus. If you are planning to be out and about partying, please be extra aware of your surroundings in order to avoid accidents. The temptation to behave recklessly may hit unexpectedly. The Mars-Pluto trine is excellent for keeping tempers under wraps and allowing people to settle their differences without coming to blows, something much needed at that time.
November 9 is when Mars is sextile Saturn in Scorpio, a very useful aspect for setting priorities and catching up with our workload. Take a “no nonsense” approach and emphasize the practicalities. Since Mercury in Scorpio is stationing direct the next day, we’ll probably be grateful for the help.
Jupiter in Cancer will be sextile to Mars in Virgo on November 19. Any Mars-Jupiter aspect brings more energy online and this one is no exception. However, we’re talking Virgo and Cancer so we may notice this most in our daily routines and around the home. A little humor is bound to find its way into our lives too.
On December 7, Mars enters Libra for an extended stay due to a retrograde period during the first half of 2014. It will be late July 2014 before Mars slips into Scorpio. I’ll be writing more about this event all too soon. *sigh*
Most important shift this week is Mars leaving fiery, flamboyant Leo for quiet, precise Virgo on October 15. This will leave two planets in fire, Venus in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries, and only one in air . . . the Libra Sun. Earth and water continue to be the dominant elements asking us to stay focused in the here and now.
Most of this week is spent building up to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aries on Friday. Eclipses have a way of expanding their influence beyond the usual for lunations. The Full Moon opposition is enhanced because it is Aries opposing Libra, bringing relationship challenges to the foreground. We may need to examine where we are putting our own interests ahead of our partners AND where we place our partner’s needs before our own. This is part of the relationship package, folks, because learning how to keep these two elements in some sort of balance can mean the difference between a healthy relationship and a dying one.
Venus in Sagittarius has a say in what’s happening too. On Wednesday, she will square Chiron in Pisces, be semi-sextile to Pluto and trine Uranus in Aries. Something to take into consideration is how the desire to feel free and unfettered affects the vulnerabilities of our partner. Both Aries and Sagittarius are signs that value their autonomy greatly and can resent what they feel are attempts to tell them how to live their lives. Learning what our personal relationship priorities are is very important because if the relationship asks more than we wish to give, resentment can quickly build.
Probably the trickiest aspect of the week is Mars in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces on the weekend. With the Mars-Neptune opposition it may be our spiritual needs and direction coming in conflict with our partner’s. Neptune has a way of draining the vitality from Mars, making it more challenging to recover from stressful events in our lives. Often there is a lack of clear direction due to Neptune’s fogs and illusions to deal with. Mars hates this! Might not be the best weekend to plan a big event. A better idea might be to go on retreat or spend a quiet weekend at home with your family.
All those relationships issues I mentioned above, Aries, may apply to you and your one-on-one relationships. Please be aware you may not be getting the whole story at this time, so reserve judgment for now. Day to day activity patterns need tuning up.
Taking time to play begins to appeal to you, Taurus. If you have children you could find yourself devoting more time to them or perhaps unleashing your inner child through creativity. The urge to do something romantic may strike you over the weekend.
Your social butterfly side may emerge midweek, Gemini, and if you are offered an opportunity to get together with your peers, go for it! You might also find yourself juggling home and career demands as well as attempting to please your friends or lovers.
It would appear you may have some pleasant surprises in store regarding your work situation this week, Cancer. If you are given opportunities to adjust your daily schedule, please consider doing so . . . for the sake of your health if nothing else.
It is time to shift your attention from self-improvement projects to doing something constructive about earning ability, Leo. Any possibilities that appear where you can expand your education through creative means jump all over. Those may have great potential down the road.
Here’s the deal, Virgo . . . once you get past the drop in energy this week, you’ll find you have plenty to spare in the weeks ahead. If you have been considering relocating or making some improvements to your home, stay alert midweek.
This could be an uneven week for you, Libra, with some sweet news and some sour. Midweek looks like the time when all this will intensify. You may experience a breakthrough regarding your partner but still feel frustrated by family and finances.
After putting a great deal of time and energy into furthering your professional goals over the past couple of months, Scorpio, you could find your attention shifting to more social venues. Networking with your associates or simply hanging out with friends may appeal.
It is time for you to get fired up about improving your public image, Sagittarius, and this is a good time to do so because you are already attracting positive attention. Dealings with family on the weekend may have some odd moments of misunderstanding.
Familiar themes emerge once more for you, Capricorn. Managing to balance your desire to meet current professional demands with family concerns continues to challenge you. If you wish to avoid frustrating yourself further, don’t discuss politics and religion on the weekend.
Aquarius, one of the areas you shine in is inspiring others to see the big picture and do what they can to help with humanitarian efforts. Coming up with the right words to draw others to your favorite cause may be easier than usual now.
Your one-on-one relationships could begin to ask for more of your attention this week, Pisces, and even though your first impulse may be to fade back into the fog, please do your best to step up and deal with them. This should work better after this weekend.
If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too.
This is one of the most magical, powerful lunations of the year in my opinion and at 16° 01′ Scorpio on 5 May 2012, 08:35 PM PDT this Full Moon is no exception. Even though Earth always conjoins the Moon when it is full, if Earth is the ruler of Taurus it makes this a very special lunation indeed.
There is nothing ephemeral about the Full Moon in Scorpio. It is very real, passionate and deeply involved with life in the most essential ways – birth, death and regeneration. The old feminine archetypes rule and we celebrate the mysteries whose origins are lost in time. I love thinking about Earth, or Gaia, conjoining the Moon, bringing to mind the power of being able to create new life. This is the perfect time to pay homage to our Mother and acknowledge our unending debt of gratitude to her. And to remember why it is not a good idea to cross Her . . .
Pluto, Scorpio’s ruler, is part of an amazing Grand Kite pattern along with Mars in Virgo and Ceres in Taurus. Chiron in Pisces is the planet opposing Mars in Virgo, sextile Pluto and Ceres making this a Grand Kite. Grand Kites have a bit more punch than Grand Trines because of the opposition. Mars in Virgo is the “arrow” and the focal point. In many ways, this is the perfect pattern to help us delve into our inner beings to take a long look at our expectations and seek out the flaws in our belief system (Chiron). Ceres will be there to provide a nurturing touch and help us from getting too discouraged. Forgiveness is a huge part of any healing process as is the need to remain as non-judgmental as possible. Pluto both fuels the need to dig deep and the knife to open old wounds, allowing them to drain. Mars in Virgo is very well suited to going over the details but since it is also exactly inconjunct Uranus in Aries, it will be less patient than usual. Go easy on the criticism – both of yourself and others.
For those who have struggled getting motivated due to the Mars-Neptune opposition in play over the past couple of weeks, it is finally beginning to wane. From here forward this energy sapping opposition will be history!
On the fire and air side are Mercury in Aries, Venus in Gemini and Saturn in Libra. Mercury has Saturn opposing it and Venus sextile to it, helping us find the tactful thing to say to our nearest and dearest. Jupiter in Taurus is semi-sextile both Mercury and Venus, so ‘over the top’ statements and gestures are likely. For those who prefer to keep things light and cheerful, these are the planets making that possible.
There is something for everyone on this wonderful lunation. If you are of a mind to go deep within and meditate on who you are and your place in the greater scheme of Life, this is an excellent time to do so. If your preference is to enjoy the beauties of the season and refresh your spirit in the process, go for it. Tolerance and acceptance of diversity is never out of season or out of style.
On a personal note: This is a sixth house-twelfth house lunation for me and consequently I usually end up dwelling on whether or not I’m putting enough into being of service to others. With my natal Mercury and Jupiter catching the most aspects, I’m sure more “stuff” will well up out of the depths to be processed too. Who knows what that will inspire!
The Sun, Jupiter and Ceres in Taurus are all in my sixth house these days nagging at me about getting out and working in the garden. They insist it will be good for me to get some fresh air and sunshine! *grin*
