Mars in Libra – Familiar Territory

When I was out picking raspberries early this morning, I started thinking about Mars shifting into Libra, joining Saturn and soon opposing Uranus and Jupiter in Aries. It dawned on me why Mars in Libra seems like familiar territory for me. With both my Sun and Moon in Libra, Scorpio rising and Mars in Scorpio I live with the combined energy of Mars and Libra every single day.

Observations: Parallels in Synastry

Parallels, or similar patterns in charts, are an often overlooked but very common phenomenon found when comparing the charts of friends, lovers and business associates. This is because parallels give us a starting point in understanding the other person.

As an example of this, Donna Cunningham has posts on calculating the influence of Pluto and Uranus in our charts (she plans on doing the same for Saturn and Neptune too). Observations & Ruminations: Mars-Uranus Aspects & Parallels

Many times things pop into my head that I wish to share and it is too much information for a Tweet. I decided to set up a new feature called “Observations“. This is my attempt to keep up with the odds and ends of astro-related thoughts running through my mind at any given time.

This past week I noted a pattern emerging with natal Mars-Uranus aspects paralleling my own Mars inconjunct Uranus in the synastry with various friends and family. My husband has Mars trine Uranus, several friends have Mars square Uranus, Mars conjunct Uranus or Mars sextile [...]

Just Married and Living on Neptune

The young couple whose wedding I attended yesterday have plenty of Neptune aspects in their natal charts and were married when the Sun in Leo was opposing Jupiter along with Neptune and Chiron.

Of course I checked their synastry and found some very interesting parallels between their charts. They both have Moon-Neptune aspects – her Moon conjoins Neptune and his is sextile to it.
