The New Year starts out with all planets direct and moving forward for a change. The tone for the upcoming year as indicated by the New Year’s Day chart is a continuation of the Solstice with cardinal earth dominating. Libra Weekly Horoscopes for December 19, 2011

The sky is rich with generally upbeat aspects this week, starting out with the Sun in Sagittarius sextile Saturn in Libra and sextile to Neptune in Aquarius. Both are excellent aspects for ensuring interesting dialogue with family and friends whilst avoiding mean spirited attacks.

Observations: Winter Solstice December 21-22 2011

This year’s Solstice – Winter in the northern hemisphere, Summer in the southern – has the Sun in Capricorn, Uranus in Aries and Jupiter in Taurus all at zero degrees, emphasizing an opportunity to make a fresh start. Furthermore, both Venus in Aquarius and Chiron in Pisces are just past the critical degree. Happy Solstice!

The summer solstice is here once more and long light evenings are the rule here in the northern latitudes. Saturn has moved off my Venus and right now the Sun is trine my Sun – always good for a lift in mood.

It is worth noting Pluto is back in Sagittarius within a degree of where he was on the winter solstice and my guess is this is an indicator we’ll be given a chance to review our changes once more. However today we pause in a place of transition and it feels a little like the universe [...]

Summer Solstice is upon us!!

Tomorrow will be the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere and the official beginning of summer north of the equator. It’s starting to get light before 4AM where I live in central Washington and having lived farther North I know it’s even more ridiculously light!!

As the Sun moves into Cancer we are reminded of the richness and variety of Life on the planet. Our garden is growing like mad and we are eating fresh strawberries from our garden. I prepared a pasta salad for dinner using fresh garlic – we’ll be harvesting it in [...]
