For a change we have a dreamy summer solstice to celebrate! The Sun enters Cancer in a waxing Grand Trine with enduring Saturn in Scorpio and compassionate Neptune in Pisces. If you live in the northern latitudes you know how magical this time of year can be with long light days and exquisite evenings. There is a very good reason growing up in England inspired Shakespeare to write his classic play, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” . . . which I love!

As Cancer’s ruler, the Moon is always [...]

A Libra’s Weekly Horoscopes for June 20, 2011

This week is the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere (Winter Solstice for those down under) which sets the tone for the next six months. The Sun enters Cancer at 10:16 AM PDT, 21 June 2011.

A wide Grand Square in cardinal signs dominates the Solstice chart, bringing stability and letting everyone know it will take perseverance and effort to make progress in the coming months. The Sun at 0°Cancer squares Jupiter-Uranus at 0° Aries with a slightly wider opposition to Pluto at [...]

mid-summer evening light

The summer solstice is the moment when the Sun enters Cancer. It’s the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere; the longest night in the Southern Hemisphere.

A chart cast for this moment gives us a sense of the tone for the next six months. Because Cancer is ruled by the Moon, the aspects to the Moon in the solstice chart are important. Here, we find the Moon in late Capricorn widely conjunct Jupiter. The Moon is also part of a Yod with Mars in Leo at the apex. Uranus in Pisces is sextile the Moon [...]
